I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the personal touch where you find smart and cosy design although a lot of the former renovation of the 70:ties (?!) still remain. The staff was really nice with a great kitchen including breakfast. If you look for perfection and 100% new design, look elsewhere, but if you look for the personal touch and...

We stayed at the boutique style hotel das Regina in march with a group of colleagues. The hotel staff was very friendly and always happy to give us advice about the surrounding area. The rooms were nice, with good comfortable beds. The showers in the bathrooms were a bit small for my taller male dutch colleagues. The rooms could use...

We (family of four with two boys 8 and 11 years old) spent 5 nights at the Regina Hotel in February 2017. The purpose of the trip was skiing in the surrounding slopes. The hotel is well situated in the middle of Bad Gastein. Staff was super friendly and helped with anything from recommendations on where to ski as well...

It was a true pleasure to stay at the friendly and charming Regina Hotel. The lovely staff was very helpful at all times, and met us with a warm smile at breakfast, at dinner and in the reception. We stayed for a few days in January 2017 and can't praise this place enough. It may not be a five star hotel but you feel in it as if it were. Every little thing is thought through from the SPA area to the rooms. Also one of the most modest hotel owners ever (we met him while he was...

We had a very nice stay. Friendly staf, beautiful view, cool interior and very cozy. They also have a very nice small cinema, where we saw Grand Budapest hotel-the movie reminded us of beautiful Bad Gastein.

We loved our stay at Regina, the hotel feels like home. Great personal service. The rooms are simple but unique, the breakfast is perfect for a good start before heading on the slopes. The fact that you can walk to the skilift is of course a bonus and after a long day out the hotel has their own small cinema...

Stayed here with a group of friends for a long weekend. Staff very friendly and service excellent. Very nice breakfast. Real variety of clientele which is nice to see. Rooms and facilities slightly dated but this is by design, I'd call it very successfully "shabby chic". Only 5 min walk from main town and 10 min walk from ski lifts....

We traveled in January, as a family of 3 (teenage son) ... with the purpose to ski and enjoy the winter elements. LOVED LOVED LOVED the hotel - This boutique hotel is cozy, unique and quirky. - Great lounge and bar area (plus a separate library / sitting area and also a small cinema) ... plenty of room to chill...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The sophisticated, slightly fusty imperial and royal charm that pervades the air at the former imperial spa of Bad Gastein in Austria, ends abruptly as you cross the threshold of the Regina. Its youthful manager, Olaf Krohne, a Bad Gastein-enthusiast for many years, has awoken the hotel from what had been a seemingly eternal slumber. The design mixes furnishings reminiscent of the old Baroque with a spark or two of irony. Special Features: This hotel is perfectly suited to young and young-at-heart individualists with or without children. Dogs are welcome. It is the ideal base for winter sports. A wonderful base from which to experience the mountains, whether you enjoy walking or any other kind of mountain sport. ... more   less
