A very modest hotel. They pretend to use new technology: a modern tablet for room temperatur, lighting and so on. We spend the night trying to increase the temperature in our cold room. Of course, it was impossible!! They fixed the night temperature when closed the restaurant and all the stuff gone away, at home. Nobody in the hotel during...

Hotel Caleche is a super-modern hotel hidden behind a quite modest facade. The rooms facing to the square have very peculiar design: the bathroom is on second level, 15 steps on narrow 45 degree stairs. Who wants to climb up if you need to use bathroom at night? Risky. The only mirror is up there. The rooms on the forest...

Durbuy can be busy at times and this hotel is in the middle of it, but seems very calm you still get the street noise but it just seems a relaxing place. They always have plenty of staff so you won’t be waiting long for anything and the service is very good. Some rooms have steep staircase to the bathroom...

We had dinner in the restaurant. It was very crowded, but the were helpful when we arrived. The food was good value for money. We had a wonderful evening thanks to the two waiters Michael and ... (I forgot his name), they had to work very hard, but still they did it with a smile and lots of humour! Bravo...

I booked this for a stay so we could go to Belgian Grand Prix, did not realise that Durbuy is a very popular tourist destination in it's own right. Quite picturesque with a good variety of restaurants. The rooms at La Caleche were clean and pleasantly decorated. The breakfast was of a good standard as was the food in the...

We thank you for your positive comment! We are very happy to learn you had a nice stay in our hotel! It's true that Durbuy is a really touristic place in Belgium, in particular during the high season!!! It can happen that a few people stay outside until 1 or 2 o'clock in the morning to have a drink but...

Stayed for two nights in June 2013. As a family we had two rooms - a double and a twin. The double room was at the front and had a nice view of the square and the castle. The bathroom is up a stairway in a sort of attic and our bathroom didn't have a shower, just a bath with...

Well-located modern family friendly hotel with very helpful service. Good restaurant with heating on the terrace, baby chairs and reasonable prices. The breakfast was good too. The family room was ok, though there was not a view towards the old town. There was only a roof window and a side window towards the hill and the roof of the hotel.

“If you are looking for a cheap lunch or takeaway dinner, try the local butchers. One makes great sandwiches, and the other one makes excellent takeaway pizzas (try their Ardennaise pizza - fresh local bacon and veggies and cheeses to die for).”
