If you're looking for space, peace & quiet, this is the place to go to. The B&B is situated in a cottage that you have to yourselves. It's well packed with everything that you might need during your stay, even food & drink. There's ample space to lounge outdoors: on the sundrenched patio or the screened off patio. Enjoy the...

The renovated old cobblershop has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full equiped kitchen and a great terrace where you can relax and listen to the birds or spot squirrels and grondhogs. Robin and Dave are lovely people who really know how to take care of their guests. We stayed for six nights but that could easily be longer. There is so...

The Jacob Swartz House is a charming, private Bed and Breakfast, and is a perfect location for sight-seeing in the Shenandoah Valley. It is conveniently located in New Market, near Luray Caverns and the Skyline Drive....both awe-inspiring sights. The hosts, Dave and Robin, make you feel completely welcomed, and they have mastered the art of cooking breakfasts that are delicious...

We spent a lovely three nights in the Jacob Swarz Cobbler Shop cottage. What a relaxing, peaceful place to stay. The privacy, the amenities are too many to mention. If you forgot it, or need it, it's there for you. A full kitchen, two full baths,a loft bedroom and the master bedroom with the screened in porch was our favorite...

My girlfriend, Jane, and I were here to visit my parents in New Market for Christmas and family recommended the Jacob Swartz House as the perfect B&B. Robin and David Gilbert, who took over the property a year ago, have thought of everything. You actually stay in the cobbler shop next to their house and they deliver breakfast to you...

Jacob Swartz House gives you an entire private cottage for the price of a hotel rom. The cottage itself is beautiful--2 bedrooms, 2 baths, LR, kitchen, screened in porch, sunroom and terrace. It is very private and in a lovely setting. It is rented as a B&B, so the owners (who live next door) bring you a wonderful breakfast (at...

My husband and I enjoyed a weekend stay in the quaint, private guest cottage of the Jacob Swartz House Cottage B&B overlooking the beautiful North Fork of the Shenandoah River. The hosts are warm and welcoming, and the cottage is about as charming as one could ever imagine. Pictures can't do this gem justice, but know that you can watch...

We had the best time staying in Jacob Swartz House. Robin and Dave were delightful hosts, and our breakfasts were so good, and very generous!! Two of our 3 mornings we had breakfast on the river bluff terrace overlooking the Shanandoah River, well how fabulous is that! The other morning we ate inside because it was raining a little, but...
