excellent people, rooms, cooking (superb !) service and on another note: quietness, decor, location etc...we highly recommand "Les Jardins d'Alienor" located in Le Chateau d'Oleron in a street very quiet, across the garden of the city hall, near the market and other shops . In fact the center of this small city. The Hotel has an interior garden where we...

Stayed over at Les Jardins d'Alienor on a driving holiday through France. Great location in Ile d'Oleron - walking distance to local restaurants. Excellent hotel - nice accommodation, great food, good service. Good things: - Comfortable room, well-appointed - Dinner in the garden was perfect - great food, good wine, lovely atmosphere - you must do this if you stay...

Had lunch in the lovely restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday. We started with an aperitif which was served with a selection of complimentary amuse bouche We all opted for the Discovery menu priced at 49 Euros which comprised starter, main and dessert from the a la carte menu. Three glasses of wine (one to complement each course) were also...

We loved our stay at this beautiful restaurant with rooms. We didn't eat here, but if the quality of the food we had for breakfast was anything like the food in the restaurant then people are in for a treat. Its a boutique hotel - lovely little touches, quality bath products, a nespresso machine in the room and very delightful...

We have just enjoyed a lovely stay at the hotel. The room was great with a comfortable bed and with the shutters on the undoes a good nights sleep guaranteed. Breakfast was fine to start the day and my eggs order was poached perfectly. The team are very friendly and service was great, even helping me contact our previous hotel...

This is an excellent restaurant and we enjoyed our meals, both dinners and breakfasts, in the courtyard but we found the hotel arrangements slightly lacking. The receptionist was on holiday and minimal cover was provided by the restaurant staff. The middle range room was adequate but rather cramped for more than one night.

This hotel covers all the bases. Nice room, good breakfast, quiet, air conditioning if required and a central location. We came on a Sunday and the restaurant was closed so we had a very satisfactory meal in the town square. The place was so good that we had a second night. The staff were friendly and helpful too. We ended...

Marc and Latitia completely renovated this hotel 11 years ago and they are still striving to improve the property. It is worth looking at the photo albums in the lounge that show the enormity of their task. The standard of the food in the restaurant is simply marvellous and well worth the trip on it's own but be warned the...

Lovely boutique hotel with super service and an excellent restaurant in a quiet street close to the town centre. Ideal for exploring the island. Parking in nearby public car park and a stone's throw to the port.

In a quiet side street. Beautiful interior, with comfortable rooms, comfy beds, pure white sheets. Clean and spacious. The shower room was fabulous. Drinks in the lovely lounge bar , happy hour 5pm -7pm. The staff were friendly, helpful, attentive. Made our wedding anniversary stay really special. Location perfect, just off the main square, near to Citadel and all the...
