We stayed in Il Pinguino for four nights and really enjoyed our stay. The place is family run, and Elda made us a homemade breakfast of a variety of cakes and more savoury treats every morning! The rooms were clean and really comfortable after long days sightseeing, and we always came back to a friendly greeting. Scala is a great...

A clean, friendly, family-run B&B. Rooms are modern with air-con. Bathrooms small (one person at a time) but functional with shower only though. Beds very hard so avoid this B&B if you don't like that. No guest lounge is available. No UK or USA channels on room TV, not even News channel/s. Like so many places in the area it...

We stayed here for three nights. There seemed to be four rooms available, two at the front with stunning views across the valley to Ravello, two at the back of similar standard but no views. The rooms are simply furnished, spotlessly clean and properly serviced. Beds were comfortable, everything worked as it should and the owners are on site in...

My daughter and her Fiancé were staying here as part of a month long European trip. When my future son in law was really ill, this amazing man took him and my daughter to the nearest hospital. He stayed with them and translated for my daughter until they were out of danger. I truly cannot thank you enough. You have...

visited with a group. They responded quickly, offered meal with 2 courses (choice of 3 dishes for each) with a bottle of red or white wine and water for 14 euros. Good plain and very fresh italian food. Excellent value. Comfortable and very pleasantly served.

Excellent B&B and restaurant run by a lovely, hospitable family! The view from the room is wonderful. Delicious freshly baked cakes, Italian coffee and fresh fruit are served for breakfast. We were treated like family, even we were invited to spend the New Year's Eve with the family! Next time we come back will definitely stay at Il Pinguino!

Amazing food, authentic taste, top quality at best price, great view from the top over Ravello, and the most receiving welcome from Gennaro. I don't have words to describe enough Gennaro- he did our days there, he dedicate his entire life to this job that is a passion, taking care of every detail and offering always a smile and the best...

The road to Pinguino is scary but is worth the view and good value compared to Ravello. Walter owns the restaurant and his sister makes all the cakes and desserts and runs the B&B. the town of Scala is small but interesting and the people are very friendly. Bus leaves the town centre to take you to Ravello and Positano...

On a school trip from Australia with 34 students. We didn't stay in this hotel. We were doing an Amalfi Coast tour on a private coach and the driver said he could take us to this restaurant for lunch. He rang ahead and booked. I was a bit dubious, thinking it was probably a friend's restaurant and he would be...

Having just returned from Italy on a National Coach holiday 8th/09/ - 22th/09, this was the best place we ate, it was very friendly, clean and most importantly they treated us like a member of their family. The food was beyond the usual Italian cuisine, it was presented well and it had pride stamped all over it. The chef excelled...
