We got to have the wedding of our dreams thanks to Agriturismo Savoca! The venue is truly a fairytale location with a forest that creates a feeling of natural beauty and magic. Literally chandeliers hanging from the forest trees!! There is also an area (Borgo) that has the feeling of a small Sicilian village street where we had all our appetizers and did our dancing. We had the feeling that we were not just having a wedding but we were creating an experience for our family and friends, which was far more important to us when half of the people coming were not from Sicily. We wanted people to feel the culture of Sicily but also blended with a natural outdoor environment. Savoca exceeded all our expectations! The staff were so good at making our fantasies come true with the variety of spaces and antique decor that they have to offer. The owners of the venue are a wonderful family who have been taking care of this land for generations and they enjoy making beautiful weddings that are unforgettable! They also offer beautiful rooms at the venue which we had our immediate friends and family stay which helped us all stay together. On our wedding day it rained very hard, but the staff was still willing to put everything together the moment it stopped raining and rushed to make us have the wedding we originally desired! We can’t express enough how wonderful this experience was for us. Most of our friends told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to! We only wish we could get remarried every few years to experience it again!

We stayed for one night in the middle of winter, and were some of the only guests. We were made SO welcome and were very well fed! Loved seeing a real working farm and meeting the whole family. The decor in the main dining room is perfect natural elegance.

We were looking forward to our visit to Piazza Armerina and to our stay at Savoca. We were not travelling by car but by public transport. I had difficulty in establishing how, when and where to transfer from the bus from Palermo to a local bus to Savoca; I telephoned Savoca several times with no answer, then finally reached a human being who was very dismissive and grumpy (I speak good Italian, though not fluently); he told me to call later, which I did and again with no answer. In the meantime I emailed them with the same question: 'How do we reach Savoca from the main bus stop in Piazza Armerina?'... No response. I then decided that we couldn't risk being stranded and so I cancelled. This was 6 days before our booked time at Savoca, yet we were charged a cancellation fee of 125 euros via bookings.com. I am disgusted by their (Savoca's) incompetence and lack of communication, which I have ended up having to pay for. I'm really angry and angry at Bookings.com who don't seem to have a contact number or email for complaints.

We stayed here only one night, but really enjoyed our stay. It was lunchtime when we arrived, and we were offered a full course meal, but we opted to the antipasti, which was very satisfying. There was a large group dining there, which kept Giovanni (the owner, on his family property) quite busy, but he took us to where our room was, and we were able to unload the car and get comfortable. We did not have dinner there that evening, but breakfast was and big spread of cakes, eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, jams..very good, and caffe was made fresh to order-very important! There was the cutest puppy that Giovanni's mother was holding as we were checking out. It stole our hearts. The property has peacocks and dogs, all very charming. A real country property, just ten minutes from Piazza Armerina. Highly recommend it!

Nice location, also close to center of Sicily (don't miss Enna and Villa Romana del Casale, beautiful domain. The breakfast and the dinner were everything we wanted from a rural Sicilian host. Also nice alternative for kids, and enjoyable during warm moths (pool above the 5 existing rooms). the only negative issue were the noises from the peacocks during early morning (really early:(). Car is mandatory.

Spent two nights at Agriturismo Savoca. Giovanni arrived at reception about 10 minutes after we did. This is a working farm (and a lot of construction/maintenance work was being done elsewhere on the property). He is a man of few words (he's not very comfortable speaking very much English), but we got settled in room #4. The room is spacious and bright, decorated in traditional country style. Bathroom has what you need in amenities, nice towels, bidet, stall shower, and hair dryer, shampoo and soap. Heat is via radiator and also ac/heating unit and works effectively! Small fridge, too. One way to improve the room is to provide a kettle for coffee/tea-making. Outside patio area is lovely for relaxing in the afternoon. Property has 10 peacocks and peahens and they are a delight (if not a bit startling!) to watch. Also they have two large farm dogs who keep an eye on things. We also saw some cows, but would have enjoyed an opportunity for closer contact with the animals. Breakfast is in the restaurant/event hall at the end of the road. Buffet style with breads, meats and cheeses (fresh ricotta is wonderful) and eggs, fruits, juices and coffee/tea. Get there earlier for biggest selection because once a dish is empty, they don't replace it. Dinner is available at the restaurant for €25/pp and is set menu only (no ala carte) and includes a bottle of wine. Our dinner was an amazing antipasto platter with artichokes, ricotta, mushrooms, eggplant, zucchini and more. Primi Piatti pasta was a veg penne, second course was roast pork, fruit course followed with apples and oranges, then casateddes (ricotta-filled fried dough pillows that are wonderful). Offered coffee or liquor but by this time we were totally stuffed. We ate in the restaurant one of the two nights we stayed, the second dinner was in Piazza Armerina after sightseeing. There are swings for kids of all ages (use them)! And free wifi in the rooms and restaurant. The only challenge is it can be difficult to find someone at reception at check-in and departure (necessary to pay the bill!), but relax and slow down, you're in the country. We would stay here again for proximity to Villa Casale Romana mosaics.

We booked this place months ago. When we arrived a guy at reception said "get in your car and follow me," and he drove to another agrotourismo that wasn't as nice. Said they were overbooked. No warning at all. He couldn't figure out why we were upset. We had chosen Savoca because it looked beautiful and had some faculties and animals that our toddler would have loved. Who knows, maybe it is a great place, but we were treated quite rudely, and given no compensation or even apology.

This is a family run business just due south of Piazza Armerina. The rooms were basic but nice and clean and the pool was a welcome relief from the July heat. Dinners were plentiful - and delicious - served in the splendid large restaurant used for weddings and catered Italian 'family events'. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

My friend and I booked Agriturismo Savoca for one night as a stopping ground between the beaches of southern Sicily and Palermo. In retrospect, we both wish we had stayed longer. The grounds, nestled in a sort of valley with idyllic views of central Sicily's hilly countryside, are beautiful: we discovered a gorgeous pool set against the rustic stone farmhouse architecture of the property and a family-run working farm with horses, farm animals, olive groves, and peacocks. The rooms are quaint but clean - large wooden doors and shutters, an eclectic mix of countryside artwork and furniture and bedding, big (okay, squeaky) beds. For us, this added to the rustic charm of the place and didn't disturb our sleep at all. We were officially in the Sicilian countryside. At reception, were greeted by Giovanni, one member of the family who runs the place. My friend and I don't speak Italian but wanted to see the farm and somehow, through smiles, hand gestures, and a few Italian phrases from our guidebook, we managed to convey this to Giovanni. Giovanni (the friendliest Sicilian you could imagine) took the time to showed us around the property, leading us through the poplar forest to the farm filled with local produce and then olive groves. He also introduced us to the farm animals (two bulls, some pigs, and chickens). Lots of laughs to say the least. When we returned, he dropped us off at the pool where we relaxed with a glass of local white wine as the sun set around the property - the most gorgeous country scenery imaginable. Dinner is served in a farmhouse/banquet hall that is equipped (and in our case, fully set up) for large functions like weddings and tour groups that sometimes stop at Savoca for lunch. For guests of the hotel, a small section is siphoned off for dinner. Yes, this is a little bizarre and could probably use some tune-ups. Overall, a very tiny blip in the radar for us. While the dining setting initially seemed somewhat odd, the food and service (and Sicilian music in the background) quickly made up for it. Heaping plates of antipasti, impeccably seasoned fresh produce, traditional pastas and meats, wine made on the farm, and delicious desserts came one after another without introduction or too much explanation. Giovanni and his family (father, brother, Nonna) ate the same meal we did in another corner of the room and checked up on the guests attentively (more Italian-English translation fun for us), adding a special touch to the experience. It was amazing, delicious and fun experience. Again: this is the real deal. Enjoy it. Breakfast was in the same place and boasted a generous spread of breakfast foods both sweet and savory: fresh ricotta, homemade pistachio cookies and traditional sweets, meats and cheeses, eggs, to name a a small few. Overall, we had a wonderful time. We left feeling rejuvenated and both agreed that this was a highlight of our 10-day tour of Sicily. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a comfortable yet authentic Sicilian experience.

Just back from a 5 day stay. It is magical. From the moment we arrived Marco and Alessia were excellent hosts, we were introduced to the family and felt very welcome at all times. My sister held her wedding there and it was exquisite Alessia and Marco who run the place have an incredible attention to detail and followed my sisters instruction to a tee. Everything was excellent, they also sourced incredible suppliers, hairdressers. children's entertainers, bar staff etc, all at the top of their game. This place is a game changer, its very honest and perfectly imperfect. You wont find overly landscaped gardens or obnoxiously expensive flower displays, everything is in with keeping with this working organic farm. Its a little slice of how beautiful Sicily is and how passionate and creative the Sicilian people are. Food was excellent and authentic. This place is a must visit. Well done guys
