An absolute gem of a hotel set in the mountains above Frigiliana (about 3km out of town) with amazing views of the mountain range, the gorge below and sea views over Nerja. If you're happy to be in the middle of nowhere and enjoy the calm then this place is an absolute steal @ 65E a night. All 11 rooms...

If you are needing to chill out this is the place. High up in the mountains with distant views of the sea, is this totally chilled out place. Decorated with tea lights, creating a feeling of peace and relaxation, los caracoles is just wonderful. You could hear the little bells of the goats being taken in for milking at sun...

The hotel architecture is very creative and friendly Hobbit style. Also the view from the hotel location is impressive. We enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere including breakfast and sometimes lunch and diner. As mentioned somewhere else the mattresses are quite firm. For me that's not so comfortable. However I experienced also firm mattresses in Morocco so it might be a regional...

Arrived to superb views. We had asked for twin room but ended up with a double. Had a nice chill by the pool but very little atmosphere. Dined in the restaurant that evening. It was nice but we were the only diners. There was no fan in the room (contrary to promised) and we only realised what a problem this...

I liked this place enormously although I found the mountain road (and the final hotel approach track) to be pretty scary - I don't like heights!. But after a few goes I got my confidence. The setting is stunning - truly stunning! We ate here for a few nights and the food was very reasonably priced and was freshly prepared....

We booked two nights here at the end of a whirlwind two weeks in Spain. We chose one of the double rooms as the suite we looked at was a bit musty smelling. I have read the other reviews and they are all quite accurate. The only exception would be the breakfast. We found it to be more than adequate....

The rooms are bssic but very cool and clean. Little splaspool if you get too hot. Breakfast was a bit dissapointig but that is the only bad thing. The views...
