My husband and myself have just arrived home after 5 days all inclusive at the Chevy Hotel. We arrived late morning, the receptionist informed us that the Hostal Montesol that we had booked was closed... however they had upgraded our accommodation to the hotel chevy at no extra cost! Bonus! Therefore my review regarding accommodation is regarding the hotel chevy but the facilities reviewed are applicable to the Hostal Montesol. We had already paid for all inclusive but the room upgrade was very much appreciated! ROOM - We stayed in room 110 opposite the reception. The room was big, extremely clean and very well equipped. There was a hairdryer, aircon (€7 per day), hair & bodywash, safe (unsure of costs as we did not use it), free wifi and tv (no english channels but we didn't mind as we only used it to play background music). The friendly cleaners came everyday to make up the room and swap towels and bedding. FOOD - Best food we have ever eaten in an all inclusive resort! Due to covid-19 there were changes to the areas food were served. Breakfast (8am till 10am) was served up for you in buffet style in the main restaurant. They offered all types of breakfasts, too much choice and all was cooked perfect! Dinner (1pm till 3pm) was available from the pool bar. This consisted of a 3 course meal menu (Starter, Main & Dessert) with 4 options on each course varying from vegetarian options and various meat options. The menus were rotated every two days. The meals were delicious and always presented very well. Evening meal (7pm till 9pm) was again served at the pool bar. I initially thought this was abit informal but the atmosphere was perfect, very chilled and welcoming. All inclusive drinks were available 11am till 11pm and the pool bar was open 10am till 12am. The all inclusive drinks included beers, spirits, cocktails, soft drinks, coffees and water. This was more than suffice! POOL - the pool was very clean everyday and was tested and checked regularly by the maintenance guy. It even had a disability seat for pool access. There was also a pool table, darts, table tennis, free wifi and toilets in the pool/bar area. CLEANLINESS - The whole hotel and pool area was cleaned to a very high standard daily and the hotel had all the facilities you could have needed such as free wifi, lockers, luggage storage, internet computer access etc. STAFF - no matter what their role, the hotel staff went above and beyond to meet your needs. They were all extremely friendly and helpful. We had a good time chatting to all the bar/waiting staff! The area (Cala Ratjada) was fairly quiet. Unless you like buying designer clothes or handbags there wasn't a massive amount to do, however we went to just relax by the pool so this was not an issue for us. Their is a few touristy shops and bars/restaurants that we visited. We walked around the marina then followed the coastal path all the way to the beach at Cala Gat. This is a small local beach with a little beach bar but selling drinks and snacks. During our time here we realised we were the only British people, the majority of guests were German and Spanish with some occasional french. This wasn't an issue as most of them were friendly towards us. I do think the area caters more for these nationalities as at times we noticed there were no english signs/menus/notices. However despite this we managed to get by and most staff knew enough english to communicate basics with us. I wouldn't recommend this area/hotel for children as there was no entertainment or play parks etc but for adults wanting a cheap, clean and quiet little get away with delicious food options then this place is for you! Overall I would give it a solid 9/10 for exceeding our expectations! …
The best of all is breakfast. Very cheap accommodation. Rooms are small in size. There is not much hot water on the 3rd floor. The walls and doors are thin. The floor has not been cleaned for a long time. The pool is excellent, the waiter is very friendly and works fine cocktails.
It was all okay for £25 BB. I slept so well! Nice bed! Balcony was impersonal as it looked on to someone else's - literally (Room 201). Plenty of hot water, extremely small bathroom. No TV, but I wasn't there for TV. Eroski Supermarket just a 15 minute walk away. Breakfast in the morning was the best although Restaurant is far tooo small for 3 Hotels! Somebody had taken my table over twice! It was so crowded - but the food made up for that and healthy Vegetables for breakfast was a plus! A very typical German Breakfast - some odd foods as per norm. Cala Ratjada is a quaint small town but is far out, so one night or two is ample. Be aware of the buses as you should walk to Son Moll and not Cala Ratjada Gardens as my bus didn't show up for the Manacor or Palma and delayed my day at a bus stop for nearly 2 hours!! I would return! Reception Staff at the Chevy are friendly!…
Great hostal, nice rooms, very clean - you get what you pay, but it is very clean and mattrasses are good - I loved the high water pressure from the shower - better than in every 5* hotel - very great. in cooperation with the chevy hotel they offered even a coffe at 6:00 in the morning super nice!
Very nice city, good location but room shocked us... Very small, no air condition, just ventilator for rent 7 eur per day! Small bathroom, cant even sit on toilet bowl... No fridge. View from balcony to the abandoned piece of land with waste. Very cheap choose if you will be on beach all the day. Good breakfast on hotel near.
