We were apprehensive about our stay because the tour operator told us the room we had booked was 'very, very basic' (Super Escapes - never use this company, they're awful). But we were pleasantly surprised to find our room was large and airy, with a huge bathroom complete with spa bath. The staff at the Lago Garden are all wonderfully kind and helpful. The Night Manager (a Senegalese chap - I'm afraid I didn't get his name) greeted us like old friends. All waiting staff were friendly and efficient and seemed happy to be there. I see that a few of the reviews mention that the hotel is geared towards Germans: this is true, many of the signs are in German and the staff are all multilingual. We also met people from Sweden, Norway, Romania and the Netherlands but not many of our fellow English (who goes abroad to spend time with fellow Brits anyway?!). There are three good-sized, clean pools, one with a swim-up bar. A snack bar with delicious food and amazing service. Buffet breakfast and dinner were both wonderful - none of the 'pile it high, flog it cheap' attitude of all-inclusive resorts. I only have one complaint and the is that they will not provide drinking water: you have to buy tiny bottles of water from the bar. I found this policy to be at odds with the hotel's eco-friendly credentials. The rooms would be even better if they contained tea-making facilities. The hotel is a short walk away from the main town and harbour: close enough to stroll there and back, but still secluded enough to escape the hustle and bustle. All in all, a wonderful hotel. We are already planning our second visit!…
Very green and clean Hotel outside the small coast city Cala Rajada. It is just some minutes by foot outside of the city center but still it is very quite and clean. We just had the breakfast but that buffet has been very good. Rooms are big enough, ours with whirlpool on the balcony. Small in the nature embeded pools. Very good service and drinks (cocktails).
My husband and I both celebrated our birthdays in the weekend we were there. What a lovely hotel. From our glass of fizz at check-in to leaving the hotel it was a wonderful stay. The staff couldn’t be any more helpful. Especially Evan who went over and above to be a super bar person. Such a lovely guy. I was super impressed that he tried to speak to each customer in their native language and always chatted if he passed us at the pool. Only tiny comment would be that I would have loved tea making facilities in the room but that is only because I love my tea No complaints. 5* service. Fantastic 😍
A near and large room, though with a view to a busy road and and some noise. Dejlige omgivelser og altid pænt og rent i alle områder. Bar og resturant var meget fine og alt var af høj kvalitet. We were very pleased with our stay and can only recommend it to others
Husband and I stayed 1 week end of August 2019. Everything was fantastic. Stunning hotel and great location. Standard room with balcony was large and very comfortable with lovely view. The gardens and pool areas are immaculate and the spa was perfect. Staff helpful at all times. Breakfast was great every possible option available. No coffee making facilities in the rooms unfortunately but every other aspect of the hotel was faultless. Thank you Dirk and staff for a really great holiday.
