This hotel is called a spa hotel im not sure why the spa was a locked building up the road when we asked we were told it would take hours to fill the spa, it was not staffed and did not offer what they state outside hotel. the pool is big enough for about 6 people and the hotel only has about 20 sunbeds. The staff looked miserable and rarely spoke if they did it was in German even though we were English in a Spanish country. so not sure why that was, there is no entertainment and the food was poor. The room was clean.
I’ve just got back from a holiday to Cala Ratjada and stayed in Bellavista. The hotel itself is basic, which is to be expected for the price, but there are several reasons why I’ve only given this 2 stars. In the description my room was described as having a ‘terrace or balcony’, mine had neither (just a window!). There’s no WiFi in the rooms, only in reception. The cleaners are lovely, but they arrive from 8am and ‘do not disturb’ signs are not provided. You have to hire a safe and a fridge, otherwise you don’t have access to either. The pool is tiny and shaded, I didn’t spend one day there. I’m really surprised to see reviews which say the hotel staff are friendly, apart from the receptionist on my last morning (who I had not seen before then and was extremely helpful) I would not describe the staff as friendly AT ALL. The positives are the location, Cala Ratjada itself is beautiful and the hotel is central enough but on a back street so you can’t hear a huge amount from the busy centre. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast is decent. If I could give half stars I would give 2 and a half, but as I can’t I’m only giving it 2 stars. I would recommend for the price alone, but it’s probably worth spending a little more and getting more for your money. …
I visited the hotel at the beginning of May as a solo traveller. Since it was low season, I was given a big room for 4 guests. The hotel is very clean but the decor needs refreshing. Also some toiletries would be appreciated in the bathroom (soap and shampoo were only provided in the shower). Breakfast was included and there was a good selection. The best thing about the hotel was the staff though. Everyone was smiley and very helpful. Locator is also great, a few minutes walk to the harbour, restaurants and beaches. Good value for money.
We only stayed for one night at this hotel as it was the sister hotel for the hotel we had originally booked which had been overbooked. We were sent here at 1am, bitterly disappointed by this hotel. The room was tiny, claustrophobic. Insects and ants throughout the room and the 1990s tv stuck by duck tape to the wall stand. The bedding didn't feel clean as I felt itchy the following morning. Staff were nice and breakfast was mediocre but did the job. I wouldn't recommend this place, only stayed as I had no choice. Shambles of a hotel group, Smartline.
