Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI

Nestled between beautiful beaches and conveniently close to local amenities, Globales Santa Lucia is lauded for its prime location. While some guests find the atmosphere welcoming, others feel it could benefit from more varied entertainment and improved room cleanliness. The amenities, particularly the scenic views, are generally appreciated, though there is some dissatisfaction with the sunbed availability and the food and drink quality. Despite the commendable service and spotless rooms noted by many, concerns over value, noise, and maintenance suggest room for improvement.

On day 2 of our 4 day break here and absolutely love it so far (re-opened post covid closure 1 day after we arrived)

Location is beautiful, right in the middle of two beaches couldn’t be closer to the beach and the sea is so clear! 20 minutes from airport taxi was 40 euros but there is also parking available here if you have a hire car.

Food is good enough for us, lots of variety, we are all inclusive but there are lots of restaurants in the area so would be plenty of option if you didn’t have meals here.

Room is lovely. Sea view, balcony, clean. The poolside rooms get the sun all morning and day. The other side rooms get the sun a little in the evening. We are 6th floor which is highest floor of standard rooms.

Entertainment programme is brilliant. 2 lovely ladies very fun energetic and friendly, there is morning stretch, aqua aerobics, French bowls, darts, shuffleboard, ping pong, pool. Evening entertainment bingo, live music, dancers etc. There is music around the main pool all day not too loud good volume. Good variety of songs. The rooftop pool is only available for superior rooms I believe on top 2 floors.

Covid rules - you need to wear masks in public areas but only when you and walking about, so at the buffet but not when you sit at the table, at the bar but not when you sit in the lounge, around reception, but not on your sun lounger. Hand gel touch free at entrance in lifts in the restaurant etc. Also get a pack on arrival with 1 mask. Not too crowded so plenty of room to social distance. Some restaurant tables also outside if you want extra safety. Buffet isn’t help yourself staff with masks and gloves serve you.

Overall highly rate it. 26 yr old and 30 yr old couple, it’s adults only here so good for any age really. I will most certainly stay here again in the future and recommend to my friends.

The hotel is in a beautiful location on the beach front with sea views in every room, it is spotless clean in the rooms and also the public areas. My huge disappointment is the poor all inclusive package. It’s advertised as local and international brands which we assumed would be a wide selection however my husband drinks dark rum and there was zero option for this not even a local brand option, the bar staff will not provide a list of what’s included and simply point to the bottles on one wall which included a local gin, a local brandy, jb blended whiskey, Smirnoff vodka and barcardi white rum. Also house wine or cava and local lager on draft. The choice of 4 cocktails are pre mixed bought in bottles and not nice at all, this spoilt it for us as we expected dark rum as it’s a popular holiday drink.
The food was average to good, the best bit being the freshly grilled fish and meat.
Nightly entertainment was fun along with cash bingo at 9ish each evening.

Dear Lynn, Thank you for staying at the Globales Santa Lucia and for sharing your experience. We regret you didn't enjoy our all inclusive package. We're taking note of your comments regarding the dark rum and the other drinks in order to make future changes. However we'd like to say that at the bars there's a QR code on every table where you can check our menus and all the drinks that are included on the AI package. For Covid reasons we had to remove temporarily the paper menus. We hope you can trust us again and we'd love to see you back at Globales. Best regards, Globales Quality Manager

We went to this Hotel to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. I have passed this hotel on many occasions when staying in Palma Nova and thought one day. I was so pleased with all the facilities that we used. The food was nice and plentiful if you needed more and the staff were very friendly especially the entertainment team. I was pleased with the room very clean and the view was stunning with the calming sea. Yes we had to get up and queue to get a sunbed but I have always had to do this on any of my holidays but it wasn't a mad dash or race to get a bed just a nice stroll to a bed. Probably because it was an adult only and no screaming kids to annoy you. We did not go to the roof top terrace as i thought this was a lot of money for what you got. The outside snack bar was great as they cooked your food to order which was fresh and hot. They provided Smirnoff vodka and not local but had to pay for original Malibu which is the only drink I like but was still happy with what they could offer. The location is perfect for shops a walk away to the nightlife and a stones throw to a good local bar if you needed a change of scenery, the entertainment they got in was ok and the bingo was good fun as well. Definitely would go back.

This was our 5th time to the Santa Lucia and wouldn’t be our last.
Check as usual was straight forward and fast, with the great reception staff. Our room 728 on 7th floor was as we had requested. The rooms are small but more than big enough for 2 people. Room safe is 32 Euro with 10 as a deposit, also you need to remember you have to pay tourist tax of 42 Euro on arrival.
Our wonderful maid (sorry forgot your name) with the lovely black hair in a bun on top, was fantastic. Our room was cleaned everyday to a very high standard, with fresh towels and bedding changed 3 times a week. This is lady is a credit to the Globales group!
All staff are fantastic with great customer service skills and always smiling.
There are hand gel stations everywhere, in lifts, on entry and before you enter the restaurant.
The restaurant staff work really hard, unfortunately the food is really disappointing. Everyone is temperature checked before being admitted to the restaurant.
As I have state we’ve been coming to this hotel over a period of years and the food appears to get worse every time. I hope the management take this as constructive criticism. There was no freshly baked rolls or bread, no fresh orange juice, no Cava at breakfast. Fish that was cooked fresh was left until it went dry and was not replenished. There was no smoked salmon and I could go on……
It appears the hotel is definitely geared to the A/I market but there are still foods I expect to have at a 4 star hotel. We are fussy eaters and struggled a bit to find food we could eat. Salad, tomato and tuna gets a bit boring after a while, so we ate out most of the time we were there, despite being half board.
There are 3 meals a day for the A/I guest and as many snack from the pool bar you can eat. There were a few rowdy young people around the bottom pool, but we found it hilarious, the antics they were getting up. We spent much of our time in the rooftop pool or on the beach.
The beach is 1 of the nicest on Majorca, and is just outside. The location of this hotel is 2nd to none.
If you have booked go you’ll have a great time, if however you are a return customer it may have changed a bit since you last went.
However bad the food is we’ll still return next year as it’s our favourite hotel in Palma Nova, hence the 5 stars!

Strange times now due to Covid but the hotel did everything to ensure residents safety.
All staff wore masks and hand sanitizers were available everywhere.
A bit like it was here before the restrictions were lifted. Guest are required to wear masks walking about the hotel except when seated or by the pool.

I've noticed some mixed reviews about the food but if you holiday frequently in Spain like us you'll find buffet style meals are very much the same. I thought the food was excellent though with plenty of variety. The dining room is clean and spacious.

People tend to save themselves Sunbeds in the best locations around the pool so go down at 8am to reserve your beds. I never struggled to get beds
The poolside bar is open about 10am and you can get food, soft drinks, alcohol, burgers, hot dogs etc if you don't want to eat in the dining room at lunchtime.

I found the staff very polite and helpful. The hotel reception will print off your passenger locator forms and covid test results to travel back home free of charge. Your rep will help you, the reps spend a lot of time at the hotel and the ladies were very helpful. In the evening the comic and singer Steve was very good and so was the two man band 'jukebox' so make sure you see them. The entertainment staff were good too.
The rooms are pretty standard sized with good views whatever room you get.
The maids came in every day and did a good job.
The rooftop pool is reserved for guest staying in the premier rooms only but I really didn't want to use it anyway.
The hotel couldn't be in a better location a few steps away from the beach.
There was a mixed age group staying there and a good crowd.

Be prepared to pay 72.60 euros tourist tax and 64 euros for safe (plus 10 euros deposit for key) for 14 nights when you check in.
Very bright, light and airy hotel. Rooms quite small and not much storage particularly drawer space (bring some lightweight cheap hangers). Beds a bit hard but fairly comfortable, 50 inch TV, small fridge, balcony with chairs and table. Bring a hairdryer if you have long hair. Everywhere seemed cleaned and well maintained. There are 3 lifts, but at busy times it's a 5 minute wait for one to arrive, also be prepared for 6 or more to get in each lift. This seemed a lot in a small area in covid times. On that subject most of the hotel staff wear masks, TUI reps did not. We did not see anyone else wearing masks anywhere inside the hotel in the 14 days we were there.
Food was plentiful, typical all inclusive really, chef cooking food in front of you at every meal. Comments on here re food not warm enough are correct at times but most dishes have steam rising from them and staff cooking food fresh at the cooking station. Often there was a small queue waiting for each batch of food to finish cooking then it was put straight onto your plate. Restaurant seating was inside or on the terrace outside. Pool bar offering food and drink through the day. Plenty of staff on reception, in restaurant and in bar all of whom were pleasant and polite. Water available at the juice machines in the restaurant but a 6 litre container of water is 1.50 euros if bought from the Spar opposite the hotel. Hotel is in fantastic position directly on sea front with a beach on either side. As usual most sunbeds have towels on before 08.00 everyday, not enough umbrellas for all sunbeds.
Entertainment:
Animators host various events during the day, 21.00 Bingo then the act of the day starts at 22.00. most of the acts were good.
WiFi in all areas of the hotel including the room was good.
Buses: If you pay cash bus fare to Palma is 4.50 euros each way, if you use a contactless debit card tap it as you enter for each passenger AND tap it that number of times as you exit the bus the cost is 2.70 euros for the first passenger and 2.50 euros for the second each way.
Bus 104/105/106 go to Palma
Bus 123 to Santa Ponsa then Bus 122 to Port D Andraxt if you feel like going further

The hotel was spotless and was being continuously cleaned and sanitized .The bedrooms were cleaned on a daily basis and towels and bedding changed so no problems regarding covid . Also a poolside towel was in your room on arrival .
The restaurant was well staffed and there was plenty of choice and different themes you could always find something to eat and there was plenty of things to try that you may not have had before ,the staff were all very pleasant and polite . Once again the restaurant was spotlessly clean and all staff were very smart.
There was a pool bar and the main lounge bar ,the pool bar had snacks as well as alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks .There was tables and chairs with umbrellas round the pool bar plus the pool with sun loungers and umbrellas there was also a sun terrace with beds and umbrellas.
There was various activities during the day in and around the pool hosted by two young kids who were excellent. Night time in the main lounge there was bingo for those who wanted it but it was only two games so didn’t last long then the entertainment came on which was different every night and on the whole very good.Again the two young kids hosted the evenings very well.
The hotel is ideally located as you have two beaches on your doorstep bars and shops across the road from the main hotel entrance and a short walk along the strip brings you more shops, restaurant’s and bars .It’s a short stroll into Magaluf and you can catch a bus into Palma from around the corner for 4.5 euros .

First time in Palma Nova and the location of this hotel cannot be beat. 2 quality beaches within strolling distance and each room has a sea view. Staff are friendly and attentive and the close detail to Covid safety evident from masks in all indoor areas, sanitiser placed all around the hotel , temp checks each time you enter the restaurant and lift capacity restrictions. Some might question the value for money but this really is subjective as I know some paid double for 1 week AI than others paid and therefore expectations will vary.

The choice of food especially for Breakfast and Lunch is vast and to a good standard . As with many AI the evening meal which plentiful some might say is a bit repetitive but that once again will be down to personal choice. Bar staff were very efficient and were on the go all day.

One small issue was beds around the lower deck of the pool you did need to be "on the ball" when the pool opened at 0800 to get around the bottom part of the pool although there were always beds on the next level.

I would recommend this hotel it is ideally situated and would certainly return at the right price .

Had a great time and met some wonderful people during our stay.

Booked this last minute as our trip to Mexico had to be deferred again. We love Mallorca and usually stay on the east coast (Cala Millor/Cala Bona). I haven’t been in the area since my girls holiday in Santa Ponsa in ‘93.

You can’t beat this hotel for its location. Every room has a beach/sea view as it’s slap bang between two beaches. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels including beach towels. Hairdryer in bathroom as well as body/ hair wash in the bath/shower. Kettle in the room with tea/coffee etc. Fridge in room. Bottled water not supplied. You can buy for €1.50 a bottle from pool bar or go to the Spar just up the road (to the left from the hotel entrance “Dallas”- the one almost opposite the hotel entrance is dearer).
Pool area and sun decks are good but peak season can be a bit of an effort finding beds by the pool but then the beach is stunning so not a hardship. There is a roof top terrace/bar with infinity pool but the superior rooms get priority access. For €10 a day you can get access but this is done through Reception and they need your room key to give you access BUT when we asked to book a day sadly they were at capacity so we couldn’t book it, but wasn’t a problem. There are activities going on in the day but you are not hassled to take part.
Food was very good in the restaurant. Good choice at each meal and a theme each night at the hot plate. Plenty of fruit/salad on offer so you can make healthy choices!!
Pool bar does a basic menu if you don’t want to venture far from pool and they have snacks on hand too.
Drink choices are okay. Beer wasn’t the best and the cocktails were pre-made and topped up with fruit juice or mixer but they do use Bacardi and Smirnoff for your basic drinks.
Tui reps have a desk in Reception and were there twice a day every day should you need them. E-scooters are for hire (using an app) right outside the hotel doors. If you do fancy eating or drinking out, no end of choice in easy walking distance.

Beaches are clean, the water is crystal clear.

Only criticism is that we found the beds very uncomfortable but everything else was fab

Ummm ? I've stayed in this hotel so many times since I was 10 years old ..with my parents , my children & my husband..its always had a special place in my heart.. its a quick flight from Cardiff, 15 min transfer and the best location with beaches either side .Every room has a sea view..I'm not sure how I felt about my stay the last few times.. The hotel has become so formal..Where's the lady who used to hire out irons & beach stuff in reception ? No restrictions on the towel brigade reserving sunbeds & the general age of clientelle has gone down to youngsters who don't give the respect to other guests slamming doors at all hours.. Theres a poster by the lift stating you can use roof terrace for €10 per day but when my husband asked if we could book for one day because it was our anniversary it was a firm no. The rooms are spotless , although the double bed felt like a large single, the staff seem to work hard but I'm not sure but feel it's lost its coming home feeling. They had everything in place regarding covid restrictions, 1 person or family in lift , lady taking your temp as you entered the resturant but couldn't help feeling uncomfotable that not everyone was sanitising their hands entering the resturant and we were all picking up serving spoons one after the other to place food on our plates..I work in the NHS and we wouldn't dare go from patient to patient without washing or sanitising. I don't know why they don't enforce it but I felt uncomfortable with it..The food was plentiful but so bland, and luke warm. The lady who clears the tables wasn't very pleasant when we asked for water , she said "you pay ! You pay! ", to the point that another couple asked us if we wanted them to get us water..a kind of awkward , embarrasing moment in the middle of the resturant. I've stayed in this hotel enough times to know when your half board there's a charge for drinks at dinner..I choose not to book all inclusive for a reason because we know the resort and know the best resturants for dinner..I'm not sure how to explain it but it didn't feel like coming home this time..Bring back the old Santa Lucia

Dear Sian, Thank you for coming back year after year to the Globales Santa Lucia. We love seeing our repeating guests every season. In regards to your comments we'd like to say that we only sell the daily pass to the infinity pool if there're superior rooms available. The space at the rooftop is limited and we don't overbook it under no circumstance. We hope you can understand it. If you'd like to use this facility in the future we recommend you to book a superior room and you'll have the access guaranteed. We would like to apologize for the incidence you had with the waitress. We'll pass your comments to the Maitre in order to avoid this happening again. In regards to the Covid measures we'd like to say that all our staff does a great effort to ensure that everybody is following the rules that have been implemented this season at the hotel. We regret if you didn't feel confortable. We hope you can trust us again and we'd love to see you back next year. Best regards, Globales Quality Manager
