Absolutely terrible hotel ..room was very small beds where camping pop up beds also the electric would blow if you put a iron on so couldn't use it the walls are so thin you can hear someone talking and snoring..food is absolutely awful wouldn't let my dog eat it ..the best thing was the view but have pay extra for it ..advertising and information about attractions there was none please read this review as I would highly recommend getting a different hotel and this one is absolutely terrible stay away

When we first walked in there was a dirty handprint on the wall and paint as well on the wall and floor. There was a musty smell in the room and the balcony looks as if it's falling apart. The restaurant was serving chicken for dinner and it was pink like salmon in the middle. The chicken sent one of my friends to the toilet puking because of how raw it was. This hotel is not family friendly due to the constant noise and partying. There are always drunks wandering around and the maids don't clean anything they just put some water and bleach on the floors and then just leave. Came back from the beach to one of the maids in my room even though the do not disturb sign was on.

The good: close to beach, restaurants and shopping. Restaurant areas are updated and clean. The bad: worn down, out dated rooms. One outlet in entire room with four single beds crammed into a tiny room, leaving zero room for suitcase or anything else. Because room prices were cheap the hotel is a big party, noisy. The restaurant staff failed to provide water with dinner a couple of times and then tried to charge us for bottled water. The food was decent and ample. The summary, if you are traveling with only two people and need a place to stay to spend time on the beach consider this. If you are looking to spend time in the hotel to relax, go elsewhere.

Very clean and location is brilliant. Beach literally a 2 minute walk away. Plenty of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. We had half board and would rate the food a 7 out of 10 ( mainly because it's a smaller selection with some of the dishes repeated within a day or 2, plus could be hotter. I did use the microwave to heat mine up) I found my bed quite comfy and the sea view was beautiful. Spoke to a few members of staff and all were lovely. On the downside the rooms are very dated and could benefit from having a fridge in room. All in all I would stay again.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Out of all the holidays I’ve ever been on this one was definitely the WORST! There were ants in our room and the staff failed to do anything about it. Our bed was practically falling apart missing poles ect…. I went to open my cupboard on the first day and the handle just came off, no force was used. Pillows were very hard and the AC just might as-well not be there because it’s absolutely rubbish. The reception is tatty, and the lights look like they are about to fall off the ceiling. Food was ok, it’s essentially the same every night and if you don’t want to spend your entire holiday sat on the toilet, don’t eat the calamari. Overall this hotel was very bad, by all means book this hotel if you’re looking for a cheap place to stay but just be aware that the pictures look nothing like the place. (I have got the right hotel so don’t worry about me writing it on the wrong page).…

The one redeeming factor at this hotel were the cleaning, reception and restaurant staff. There was ok variety at their buffet on offer but it was not hot. Fantastic view of the ocean and no traffic sounds. Good location for shopping and getting to Barcelona if you want to experience a big city - about an hour on the train, station short walk. Nice area outside for walking and located on beach front. Easy access to lots of shops, cafe and opportunity to experience Spanish culture. Rooms cleaned daily and linen changed. Good effort at lighting in halls but some areas at room entrances were dark. Not sure if there was laundry facilities but occupants hung their washing on the balconies - not a great look from the front. The room itself was very very dated and tiny. Could barely fit 3 people, no fridge, 1 chair and after fitting the 3rd bed we could barely open the closet. There was an awful stink smell coming up from the toilet. We could only have baths because if we showered the bathroom flooded. There were holes in the ceiling could not distinguish what was above. No hotel entertainment at all. Personally won’t be staying again. Only advice is fantastic location but need some investment to update badly.…

We have just spent 8 nights at this hotel and loved it. We were greeted by the lovely Karen after a delayed journey in and all the stress that involved. What a jewel you have with her. She is funny, engaging and has been very helpful throughout our stay; a true pleasure. The room was great. The large terrace and the sea view were amazing. The WiFi was somewhat patchy on the top floor but no more than expected for such a a large hotel. Breakfast was well organised the first day with a queuing system and one of the staff acting as maitre de but left a bit to be desired after that with a bit of a free for all on seating. Location is perfect as others have said with beach over the road, local shops and train station all a short wander away. We definitely intend to come back and enjoy another stay. This hotel is terrible. All in all it was a big disappointment! Th service in that hotel is just mean. They will lose all their clients if they don’t improve their service. For example we were sling out of lobby in the last day, when we waited for our bus from hotel to airport. Food was dull, rooms very small with 1 contact and it's the same with balcony. The walls are thin too much. If you aren’t sound sleeper you take a earplugs. I don’t recommended Hotel Checkin Garbi.

As 3* hotel i can tell that service is over the top,food was amazing,all staff friendly and helpful.We really enjoyed our holidays.Suite room worth every penny,had small fredge,air conditioning and jacuzzi bath in the bathroom,control remote for the TV without any fees or rental payments. Highly recommend!
