Detailed Reviews
Hidden in the woods of the Veluwe the hotel is a good conference location providing a range of conference rooms with facilities. That said, the hotel itself is somewhat outdated with non-working airconditioning causing the heat to stay in the room. On the other hand seems the bathroom been recently upgraded. Vaccuumcleaning before 8:00 in de hallway is a great alarm system for business people, but otherwise?
In summary, as a non business guest one must feel a little lonely between all the company meetings going on.

Great location with direct access to the forest but poor value for money. Lack of basic amenities such as tea or coffee making facilities in the room, which are especially important when the restaurant is fully booked and the public tea/coffee making facilities have been taken out of order. At check-in, which is only from 16:00, we were informed the restaurant was fully booked on both nights but the staff was not helpful in finding an alternative solution (serve dinner elsewhere in the restaurant) or help us book something nearby.

Thank you for your review. At this moment we have less space in the restaurant because of the 1,5 meter and other conditions. But besides that the reception needs to be helpful with alternatives, so we will discuss this with the team. Kind regards

It should be a 3 star hotel.
Nice furniture but nothing else. We got a family room which was spacious but not very bright and the old device for ac didn’t work. Ok the Netherlands is not a hot country but in August 23/25 degrees with a high tax of humidity it can be warm and difficult to sleep at night. When we went to the reception to ask about the air conditioning they said we don’t have and those in the rooms are old and need to be replaced but we don’t know when. Their attitude was clearly I don’t care. The swimming pool looks sad and not as in the pictures also the tiles are not the same of the picture. . It is only one height 1.40 m and with 2 kids it wasn’t great.
The breakfast was average and when I ask the waiter our table is wet he said ok it’ll dry. Probably it was a 4 star 20 years ago but not anymore: too pricey for what we got.

Great location, beautiful building and gardens, efficient check-in and a great looking room. Bilderberg isn't cheap, but they have a standard to maintain and we felt like we had made the right choice. But after this first glance, it went a little downhill. Noticeable stains on the carpet, bedspread and cushions dulled the glamour of our well-designed room. The bathroom's lustre was somewhat tarnished by the mould in the corners and the bed... well, let's just say our matress had set its first steps on its way to becoming a hammock. But the kicker came when we noticed the last guest's skid marks were still present in the toilet bowl..... Staff were very apologetic and all, but this was one experience we could have gone without.
Off to the bar then. They have a great terrace out in the garden and it was nice and quiet , with few other guests around. A waiter popped out every five minutes or so, but somehow managed to miss our first three attempts at getting his attention. When I eventually walked inside to place our order (it was empty inside) I was told to go out and wait, our waiter would be there shortly. It eventually took him another ten minutes to take our order and bring us two beers. Never mind, he was enjoying himself a lot less then we were , especially when the manager scolded him in front of other guests for some minor mistake. Awkward.
Breakfast at 9 the next morning wasn't much better. Lots of tables cluttered with dirty dishes, remaining tables not set, many breakfast choices already "sold out", coffee machines out of order..... and just the one girl trying to manage the chaos. And even if we eventually managed to get a more than decent breakfast, it was a scene unbecoming a Bilderberg hotel.
So: great looking place, a bit rundown on closer inspection and with obvious staffing problems. All in all a disappointing experience...

If you oversee our experience overall it was fine, but knowing the bilderberg group we expected more out of the food and beverages and service of the staff. For example getting a second beverage during diner was a difficult task, getting the attention of a waiter maybe even harder. was a bit of a disappointment.

Because of lack of personnel the hotel had to switch to a buffet instead of a la carte 3 course dinner.
The buffet was not tasteful at all. This is not what one would expect from a Bilderberg hotel
It was a real disappointment, so the second day we decided to have dinner elsewhere.
Apart from that, which hopefully is solved in the near future, it is a nice hotel with cosy rooms next to the woods. Excellent WIFI and lots af space to park.

We stayed only one night with our two children (1 and 4 years old) in the family suite. The location of the hotel is fantastic with the woods just next door for nice walks. We had the breakfast and 3 courses diner included. The corona proof service was perfect. Maybe the only minus was the fact that we had to eat on the small coffee tables and sitting in the sofa chairs which was not the most comfortable setting to eat. Maybe the hotel could provide an additional table and chairs if they know people will have dinner. But it is maybe a lot to ask. Everything was perfect!

It was a pleasant stay for good price vs quality. Breakfast was good, but in general the hotel was outdated. It was not really a 4 star hotel in my view. No minibar, no water at the room, very noisy at the room, single glass windows, swimming pool outdated. On the other hand, service was good and the location was great, next to the forest.

Personeel vonden wij super!
