Detailed Reviews
We spent a long weekend at the hotel in 'half pension' (breakfast+dinner included). This was our second stay, and we were glad to see the level remained the same. The room was quite big, with a separate shower and bath. Due to Covid, the room wasn't cleaned during our stay, but this didn't disturb us. The only thing I would note about the rooms is that the curtains don't black out the outside light. If you're sensitive to light, then you might want to bring a sleeping mask.
Breakfast was buffet style (and staggered to make sure not too many people were there at once) and offered a mix of warm and cold dishes.
Included in our package was a 3-course dinner which changed daily. You could choose between a fish, meat or vegetarian dish for the first and main course. The dessert was fixed. All dishes we had were delicious, and we would honestly go again just for the food!
The hotel is not too far from the Hoge Veluwe National Park, but there are some nature walks and bike routes to do in the neighbourhood as well.

Everything about this hotel is just amazing! Excellent service, clean spacious rooms, hot shower, fluffy pillows, strong mattress, silence all around when sleeping, skilfull staff, a terrace fully surrounded with trees, and the entrance to a immense forest literally 20m away. This location will make you connect with nature without compensating on luxury. The ground are so spacious, if doesn't feel crowded with people. The price is high but it's totally worth it. I DEF recommend this place to all my friends & family, and we will come back again in fall.

The location of the hotel is close to the forests like Speulderbos, Leuvenum and the environment os Staverden. The hotel is managing the corona rules stict. Our room during 3 nights and the bed was perfect. Only the kitchen is performing very poor; not only with respect to the daily menu but also regarding the a la cart dishes.

its a nice area and the outside of the hotel looks nice. inside the hotel is hugely delayed with updates.
rooms are 1990 and not pleasant to stay.
pool is a poor excuse for a pool. broken tiles and dirty plafond.
the breakfast buffet is opoend for all guests and everybody is touching everything.
my room was a mess and a lot of light spots in the carpets.
i needed a hotel in this area but will think twice to re book
in totaal 130euro for 1 night and not ala carte diner but small cart diner

The surroundings are amazing and the staff is friendly. As a vegetarian we didn't experience value for money in the restaurant and grand cafe. Both serving more or less the same average pasta plate as the only vegetarion option was a bit dissapointing when eating at the hotel 2 nights in a row. For the price we would expect a bit more. (At least two different options at GC and restaurant, but a bit more creativity on the plate would be welcome too).

The room was bad: the bed was much to hard, there were many buzzing mosquitoes in the room and no insect screens (there is a large pond in the front of the hotel in which the mosquitoes lay their eggs and multiply their breed). The pillow was also not comfortable. We came theit for our rest, but we left so fatigued that we slept the entire day yesterday when we came home.

We enjoyed the stay very much. The bed was big and very comfortable, we had bath & shower. The room was cozy & with good temperature, we never felt cold. Even with covid, we enjoyed the meals, quality was amazing.

A really lovely hotel nestled within the Veluwe. Extremely friendly staff and incredible food! Our room was very comfortable and spacious. We also enjoyed some lovely massages - which I recommend :) A wonderful hotel if you wish to take a break to unwind and relax!

We stopped here during our cycle ride around The Veluwe, we found the place very peaceful. The lunch menu was quite limited, we both went for a broodje Old Kaas and Zalm. It was quite filling but we would have preferred more choice.

We were hiking the edelhert trail. We only stayed one night. Nice and clean room, but the food at dinner and breakfast was nothing special, even below average. We also made reservations for both dinner and breakfast per email, because of COVID. something went wrong. The staff was friendly, but giving lots of wrong information is not ok.

Dear hgrimmer, I do not have similar wishes so I can’t comment. However, the reception took care in an exemplary manner of my physical issues. I would send them a mail with a detailed description and request their confirmation that they will can and will meet them. Please be advised that breach hereof will have severe consequences for them both reputationally but also legally when you will formally complain. I hope this will get you any further. Best regards Thomas
