Stopped at Fernhurst for one night end of July. After reading reviews requested a room at rear of hotel but one was not available. Stopped in room 29 at front. Very large room. Nice and clean. Traffic noise did not disturb us. The attached pub was typical Hungry Horse pub food. Freshly cooked and plentiful.

Well worth the money! Good clean accommodation and great facilities! The pub next door does great food that is also great value for money. The breakfast was not what we expected as when told about it you are told you can have what ever you like and unlimited drinks even etc and are lead to believe it's kind of a...

On arrival I was informed that this was not an English inn as booked but a Hungry Horse and we would have to pay for breakfast. I showed the receptionist my internet confirmation from English inns and the special offer brochure we had booked from. We were eventually given breakfast. I only booked because they brag about their wonderful beds....

No manned reception, used the phone available to contact someone, took ages to answer and I had just travelled 5 hours. Wouldn't stay here again nor would I recommend it. Rooms had a strange unpleasant smell, remote control for the tv held together by tape, Some lights didn't work. Supposedly free wifi but the reception was so poor could not...

We stopped for lunch on our way home to the Lakes from Burnley. Our lunch arrived very quickly even though the pub was quite busy. The food was good and was very reasonably priced. We were just disappointed that we didn't have room for dessert..maybe next time..!
