Knocks the bigger hotel chains into a cocked hat at half the price. Especially breakfast, all cooked fresh instead of the disgusting buffets usually on offer elsewhere.

The rooms are ideal for business users - extended desk space, plentiful tea/coffee stuff and decent wi-fi bandwidth.

All the staff attentive and friendly. Easy choice for businessmen visiting Wilmslow.

We stayed for three nights to attend a friends wedding which btw the reception was held in the Coach and Four) the rooms are extremely comfortable and exceptionally cleaned every day.
There's always a couple of staff who shine above the rest, not that the others weren't good but a big shout out for going that extra mile to ensure our stay was the best was Stephanie and Lianne, (Lianne we missed you at breakfast on Friday it just wasn't the same).

My only gripe and it's nothing to do with any of the staff but whoever designs the rooms please can you put an electric socket either side of the bed as like so many people I need this for medical equipment and although you have plenty of plugs on the opposite side of the room my electric cable is not that long, thank you Stephanie for the loan of an extension cable.

Hi Jean, thanks for taking the time to leave us a great review, I will pass your comments onto Lian and Steph. The Rooms are set for a refurb later in the year and the plug sockets are on the list. They were originally fitted with USB for phone and laptop charging only but understandably this was the wrong choice. Gavin and the Team

If you need to visit the hospital in Wilmslow, make sure that you book a room at the Wilmslow Lodge which is over the road to the hospital. The location is also great for the shops in the town. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs and nothing was too much trouble for them. We hope to return for a short break to visit the local attractions

So we stayed for one night and the first room we were given had the bath panel off and the bathroom smelled of damp. The room didn’t look that clean but we didn’t stay long enough to give it a good check as the bathroom was really not acceptable. I went to reception and was given another room straight away which was good. This rooms bath panel still had a gap but not like the first one and it didn’t smell which was also a relief. There were plastic glasses left under a chair from a previous guest and it was dirty under the chair but the rest of the room wasn’t too bad. I decided not to go down but regretted that later.
So after having a lovely meal down the road we returned to go to bed and just as we were about to get into bed we spotted hairs in the bed and they were not from us!! It did put me off but again I didn’t complain as it was late and we had been travelling for most of the day and I was already in my PJs.
I do feel that whoever cleans the rooms did not show any care or attention to detail at all which is such a shame as the property could be nice and they let the team down.
There was nobody on the reception in the morning to say we were disappointed so I was glad to get an online survey for the property which was sent by email after our stay. So because I scored low for cleanliness it asked me for my name, email and telephone number in order for the property to contact me. I was surprised when nobody from the property used my details to contact me about our stay even though I have left it for a few days now. I have to say if I was the manager or owner I would have contacted my customer straight away in order to find out what happened. This is disappointing as they obviously don’t care what customers feel so I have now left this review.
It is a real shame as the place would have been great if it had been clean and the pub adjoining was really nice to have a drink in.
The lovely lady on reception was also lovely and welcoming and the location for our appointment was perfect too. I really hope they up their game as I would give them another chance as the location was perfect for us and the bed once swept of hairs was really comfy. The rooms are a good size and the parking is handy too.
Come on Wilmslow Lodge get the cleaning sorted and I would have given you 5 stars.

We stayed here as part of a trip to leave our son at Manchester Airport. We’d come down from the north east.

Driving through Wilmslow - what a lovely place - all the Christmas lights were on, and it was just so welcoming.

On arrival at the hotel, the location was great, there was a clearly marked telephone to alert somebody to our need to check in and they came over straight away from the bar where they were working.
The room that we had was a family room, and it was immaculately clean. The bed was so comfortable, and the pillows were to die for .
We ate dinner in the attached pub and the food was fantastic again. The service was brilliant.

We will definitely be back again, the next time we have to come to the airport. Thank you so much.

Overall we were disappointed with our 4 night stay at the Wilmslow Lodge. As is the case in Wilmslow it was, we felt, expensive at £100 a night but we booked it so should not complain about that.

The welcome was friendly and we questioned the cost of breakfast – £12.95 for full English or continental – and were told they would do a deal. No details though. Next morning, having met up with 2 other family members, we were told that no deal was on offer. On saying we would go somewhere else they relented and did a 2 for 1 offer. Still expensive for a piece of toast and a cup of tea. We went elsewhere on the other days.

Other things that we found disappointing were a lack of tooth mugs in the bathroom, only one hand towel for the two of us and only one small pot of milk for teas and coffees. We were given another hand towel after breakfast on our first morning but it was removed from our room that afternoon. We requested a replacement at 6.00pm but, having been told it would be delivered to our room, it wasn’t. We gave up as there was obviously a shortage.

On the other hand the bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. There was an enormous TV which wasn’t simple to navigate and which we didn’t use but I suppose that is a luxury that wasn’t required. However some basics were missing from the room.

We probably won’t stay at The Wilmslow Lodge again even though it’s in an ideal spot for our family visits.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. £12.95 for the breakfast buffet includes unlimited tea and coffee, juices, cereals, pastries, toast and preserves, fresh fruit platter, yoghurts and any cooked hot item freshly prepared from our kitchen. Now if you only have a piece of toast and a coffee 12.95 is a little expensive but that is your choice. When you questioned the price on check in, as a gesture of goodwill i offered you two for the price of one if you only had the continental buffet providing you never ordered anything cooked from the menu. Im sorry if there was any confusion caused by this. Sorry about the hand towel thats our bad and should not of happened. As for the price if you are a regular visitor to this area I am sorry to let you know but we are priced competitively and accordingly for the location and standard of the hotel. I am sorry you wont be returning but thank you again for the feedback. Gavin and the Team

I had booked a family dinner party for 20 (60th Birthday) along with an overnight room for myself and my wife.

The party was booked by phone initially with Gavin and Emma, folowed by a number of emails in a very short space of time. The layout was excellent for the dinner party and food service (pre-ordered) across all courses was carried out with accuracy and speed from start to finish. All the guests were impressed with the regular approaches by the staff to ensure all was well and provide further drinks where required.

The room booked was a good size and comfortable with an excellent breakfast the following morning.

Many thanks to the staff mentioned above and also additional staff who serviced the dining, names escape me but a decent gratuity was well worth the service.

All in all, highly recommended but be aware it is a popular venue and booking is advised especiall on a Saturday evening.

We had a very pleasant relaxing one night stop over at the Wilmslow Lodge. We stayed in a standard double bed room which included tea/coffe making facilities, hair dryer and iron. TV with the standard free DAB channels. The bathroom had a good sized bath with powerful shower over. The room was of a good size, was clean and tidy and didn't feel or look at all tired.

Really handy with bar, dinner and breakfast on site, dinner served till 10 and we ordered just before 10 and the staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Car parking available. Really friendly and helpful staff. Will stay again if in the area.

What a great find! I like flying into Manchester Airport to see Wales and the North of England, so much more than taking a train from London. This lodge is affiliated with the adjoining pub and restaurant and makes for the perfect stay - clean, comfortable and good value, with very good breakfasts and dinners and a very lively (but not noisy) pub scene full of both locals and travelers. Lian and Gavin were incredibly welcoming, friendly and attentive. I would definitely stay here again.
