This is a hotel that caters for business people on a budget, weddings, conferences and funeral wakes; there were four at the time I stayed. The staff were helpful and apologetic about the state of disrepair and dirt. The rooms in the outer buildings are Spartan, unattractive and seemingly unfinished. However, it was February and everything looked a bit gloomy....

Very nice facade of the place. Unfortunately the inside didn't follow the outside, with a rather cheap look all over. My room was very small with a big bed and a socket in the narrow corner by the bed. The room was fitted with ironing equipment, but where one would be able to set that up and get close to...

Stayed at the hotel in January 2017 as attended a cremation at the crematorium close by. For the price paid the room was very small although clean and modern. As the rooms are in an annex to the hotel itself access is through a conference room. This access cannot be used if there is conference taking place (as was when...

I have to say that the staff at the hotel were excellent throughout my stay. From the moment I arrived for check-in at reception, to the waiting staff in the restaurant - they were friendly, courteous and welcoming. The hotel was pleasant, with some charm however, I found it to be a bit of a hodgepodge. I emailed to hotel...

Venue is superb, shame the reception staff were incompetent, although they did apologise for overcharging and giving another couple our room (who came in whilst we were getting changed for dinner), this wasn't the first room this poor couple had been sent to either, third time lucky though! Then the reception staff cancelled our room keys and forgot to update...

I got an offer to stay the 30th of December, £80 per room dinner bed and breakfast with a bottle of Prosecco!! What a bargain, we were given rooms across the court yard in the executive bungalows. My sister and I plus husbands had our very own New Years Eve Eve as they couldn't make NYE itself. The restaurant was...

From the outside King's Croft is a handsome building in a relatively fine setting. The interiors and furnishings are a little dated here and there but are, on the whole, of a reasonable standard. The staff I dealt with were very pleasant, though not always able to fulfill the odd modest request. The bar ran out of stock of the...

Stayed with my wife for a friend's wedding. Was lovely. Staff were friendly and food and drink was reasonably priced. Lovely grounds and setting. We would definitely return. Not really suited to families with children though.

Stayed overnight following a Xmas night out with work mates. Its a hotel I used to stay at regularly many years ago but has been extended since. Its geared for overnighter and the single rooms are pretty small. The double I stayed in was perfect. very clean with all amenities including excellent biscuits and Nescafe coffee. My room was over the...
