The cheapest way if you are on your own would be the bus. The no 17 bus service stops by the hotel and goes to Manchester in about 40 minutes. No more than £4. Taxi can be booked at hotel - ask for a fixed price and you should pay around £13 into Manchester but take their tel number as black cabs back are expensive
