Lots of hungry cats, bring cat nibbles dry cat food. Dirty counter at the reception, sticky gummy dirt and so gross. Now the kitchen (buffet) is invaded by angry "cucarachas" and I mean not just a few but and army of them, so disgusting. I won't go back unless they clean up their act. In June we didn't have AC in all the kitchens, buffet or a la carte, it was very hot and the same at the airport! But the service at Tryp was exceptional by all the staff! Pool with bar is awesome and the beach is also first class. Tryp is a 2.7 star not four.

Great hotel! Went in June 2022 and again in November 2022. It was great to see familiar faces; some of the staff feel like family. Always a pleasure to see Fidel in the buffet and Steve. Met Erick and Norberto for the first time and they are two of the sweetest men that I have ever met. Food is typical Cuban food—not the greatest but you’ll find a thing or two that you like. Entertainment is awesome day and night. One night there was a bikini party which was super fun. My friends and I were able to get rooms in the same building which was great. Beach is well kept and the drinks were strong. Hoping to make a trip there soon!

Stayed at Tryp the first 2 weeks in May 2023..Been to Tryp so many times I've lost count...Although there are shortages all over Cuba at the moment , It never effects my Vacation. You will always find something to eat and Drink and never go hungry. The Alacarte restaurants were a nightly routine for a group of us. Food was Great. I would Like to again Thank all Tryp Staff , from Guest Services. Waitresses. The worst experience ever! No hot water, No air-conditioning and No food! (Not even bread) The buffet was infested with cockroaches and flies. Bird's all in the food. Cats everywhere in the buffet. The rooms are dirty and so outdated. It's not a four star, More like a one! Stay anywhere but here.

I was here for a week and had my 7 year old stepson here. He went to the kids club and had an amazing time! Cecilia was amazing with the kids and my stepson had a great time there!! Cecilia kept him entertained all the time and he absolutely loved Cecilia! I highly recommend this hotel with kids and definitely let them experience the kids club! Cecilia is the best!!

Steer clear! There is a few recent reviews of 5 Stars for this resort….they’re liars. They either have friends here or have never travelled or they just feel bad. It’s terrible no food no hot water terrible staff. We went with a party of 9. All 4 kids were unable to eat anything other than rice. There was no bread no fries, nothing. We stayed one night and left. We ended up at the resort next door “mojito” which had a worse rating than tryp. It was MUCH BETTER not a lot of food but everything had was decent for cuban standards. They had pizza grilled sandwiches and fries at any given time. And the buffet never ran out of bread. We ate well we drank well and the staff was pretty decent. If you are looking for the cuban staff that was around 5 years ago forget about it. No one was struggling and we didn’t even get a thank you when tipping $5-20 at any given time. Pool water wasn’t the cleanest and there is absolutely no hot water. If you are going anytime soon BRING BUG REPELLENT. If you plan on bringing e-cig/ a vape put it in your suitcase if you’re leaving from Yyz. If you’re leaving from Quebec you’re pretty well out of luck bring smokes. If you like jam peanut butter or ketchup bring them. If you want a relaxation stress free vacation….. go to another country Cuba isn’t for us anymore. We’ve been collectively 36 times and no one in our party will ever return again. It’s not worth the savings. …

What a great escape. Just finished my, to numerous to count, vacation at Tryp Cayo Coco. Weather was beautiful, plenty of food and drink (albeit there are some shortages at times), and a wonderful staff. I am hopeful that Tryp and all hotels in Cuba are on a bounce back from some tough times in our world, and it appears they are. I am never one to recommend a destination or resort I go by what I enjoy, and I enjoy Tryp. Yes if you're particular on having certain items you may want to pack them (condiments, snacks, etc...). The resort itself has aged but there is constant activity in regards to modifying, fixing, landscaping, etc, throughout the grounds. If you need something attended to see the more than capable customer service team. The resort staff are amazing. I will not list out individuals who make for a welcoming vacation because there would be to many. From groundskeeping to housekeeping to animation team to restaurant staff to customer service to bar staff to lobby staff to management, they all work to make for a wonderful holiday. Old and new staff have become special friends over the years. To be perfectly honest Tryp Cayo Coco is not for everyone but the amount of repeat guests that keep returning says there is something very special about the resort. Thanks Tryp family for once again making for a great escape from reality for me. Well done!…
