Fine. TV and heaters caused some problems which were quickly dealt with by reception, but reoccurred each day. Restaurant had good meals, hosting was very good. Breakfast was best we have had for many an occasions.

We recently stayed at peppers manor house for our 10 year wedding anniversary and from he moment we arrived we were looked after by the staff who went above and beyond to make our stay amazing! This included a complimentary upgrade in our room and personalised service throughout our whole stay. The premises is just beautiful, we felt like we...

cosy place, good restaurant, take the rooms in the wing. not in the main manor. nice fireplace, just that the place can smell sooty when fireplace is in full blast. golf course was nice and kangaroos are out in the evenings.

The highlight of our stay was our dinner at Katers. The food and service was outstanding. I played golf and was disappointed with the state of the course. There was was severe animal damage on most holes.

My husband and I had a lovely 2 night stay here recently. Our accommodation was very clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. The highlight of our stay was definitely making use of the fireplaces in the manor house. We enjoyed playing chess by the fire and then having dinner bought out to us, and on the other night...

We had a lovely stay here over the Easter long weekend. The grounds and manor house are beautiful and historic. We enjoyed walking around the property and sitting by the open fire. The office manager who checked us in was very professional and we were given a larger room which was appreciated. The room was clean and spacious with an...

Beautiful part of the world at this time of year. Only fault I could find was dinner a bit slow to come out - but that's a very minor whinge looking atthe totality of the experience. Kids also well catered for.

Regular visitors to the region and trusted the Peppers brand. Staff were great but the room was underwhelming and a bit tired with the tiny bathroom. The manor house is lovely but the rooms int he cabins (read shed or outdoor classroom) are not great. There are some great restaurants in the region, but this isn't one of them. Service...

Very happy. Lovely hotel and room. Warm friendly service. Good food. What more can you ask for. The fires was my only issue. They weren't lit because they were going to be cleaned which didn't happen. Not sure why you wouldn't get the fires cleaned in summer rather than in autumn when guests would love to have them. Thankfully it...

We had a superb few days in this beautiful hotel. The staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms are super quiet and well heated. It's a lovely place in which to relax in front of the open fire or play a game in the afternoon and the breakfasts are exceptional!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Peppers Manor House is set on a beautiful Southern Highlands estate and provides an experience of life and leisure at one of Australia's grand country houses. Built in 1926, the house was originally home to the Katers, a pioneering grazing family, and has retained its original country charm. During winter, an open fire burns continually in the Great Hall and in summer meals are served in a leafy courtyard with drinks by the pool. Wake up refreshed and enjoy the views of the estate from your elegantly appointed room or suite. The setting is tranquil, the decor charmingly luxe. Highland Queen Rooms, Highland King Rooms, Garden Wing Deluxe, Garden Wing Suites and the Elizabeth Broughton Suite (in the original master bedroom), form this historic property, with an adjacent Garden Wing taking full advantage of the country views. The retreat offers the 18-hole championship Mount Broughton Golf Course and Country Club, tennis, boules, lawn bowls or be rejuvenated with a bushwalk or a gentle stroll around the beautiful gardens and cool off with a swim. Be pampered with the retreat's range of massage therapies and beauty treatments, or relax with a good book and a glass of wine in front of the open fire. Katers Restaurant at Peppers Manor House in the Southern Highlands offers diners a truly world class experience. The magnificent country estate setting and celebration of fresh seasonal produce will ensure an experience to be remembered. Open for breakfast, lunch, traditional afternoon tea and dinner daily, there's no need to wait for a special occasion. Try the Pan fried barramundi served with Morton Bay bug cannelloni and squid ink crumbs or Angus beef fillet served with red cabbage puree, corn cake and Cabernet jus. And for something really special at this multi award winning restaurant, there's a delicious 5 course degustation menu, available with or without matched wines. The surrounding area has something for everyone, including horse riding, mountain biking, trout fishing, historic villages, antique shopping or winery tours. The Highlands area offers a delightful environment to seek antiques and rare books, arts and crafts, or that perfect escape in a National Park. ... more   less
