It is within walking distance to the ferry so really convenient. Room is big and tidy. We didn't pick up rooms facing ocean but there is a balcony on the 2nd floor. Go out and the sea is in front of you. Full buffet breakfast...More
great location but that's about it, the tiny room was a bit shabby with missing tiles on a wall; dirty wine glass in the cabinet; hair dryer was not working and a bath towel had a spot on it. The place would definitely benefit from...More
This place is a short walk from the ferry terminal in Penneshaw, and hence, it is a perfect place for your first and last night on the island. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was excellent value. The rooms were spacious and clean.

Hi, I see you are staying one night only, that is a shame as it takes a lot longer than that to see most of the island. My advice is to rent a car, travel west to The Admirals Arch then east to Seal Bay and take tour on the beach among the Sea Lions. that will take most of the day. If you have time visit KI wildlife park where you can feed the 'roos and touch the koalas.
If you want a tour I think Kangaroo Island Exceptional Tours may be the way to go.
I think there are other operators but this seems to be about the best.
Whichever way you choose you will love the place.
