Long drive thro the forest to get to this rather tired lodge accom. If you like dark log interior then this is for you. Evening meal cold and tasteless. Not much hot breakfast left At 9 so had toast. Very disappointed after a 200k drive. Would not have stayed had I known. I noticed a TripAdvisor Notice of excellence dated...

Lemonthyme is located in a beautiful wilderness area down about 8kms of well-maintained gravel road. We had a family cabin (2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom) which was pretty good but looked a bit tired. On arrival it was cold so we wanted to turn the heating on ... couldn't work it out. Spent several minutes looking for instructions; no compendium could...

Lovely setting and views from the room balcony with beautiful walks around the property also. The room was clean but quite tired and dated. The meals were also quite overpriced for what they were. This place has so much potential to be something amazing, it just needs enthusiastic and experienced staff and a rethink of the menu and quality of...

If you have never been to Lemonthyme Lodge, you have never been to the Central Highlands of Tasmania! Just got back after a few nights' fantastic stay at Lemonthyme Lodge. We must say, we were blown away! Thank you for a wonderful wilderness getaway - just top notch. After turning off the main drag onto the white gravel road which...

The recent Trip Advisor reviews likening this accommodation to Fawlty Towers is accurate. Firstly, the pros: beautiful location, cozy log cabin style buildings, lots of wildlife, and reasonably close to Cradle Mountain. Now, having been back in Tassie for a week, I'm getting used to putting a lot of things down to this just being Tassie, i.e. even the best...

Lemonthyme has a great reputation which it did not live up to and we were very disappointed in our stay. The rooms although adequate are tired and could do with a proper clean. Our dinner & breakfast was average. Staff whilst not rude provided bare minimum service. Such a shame as the lodge has all the right ingredients to be...

This was an incredibly underwhelming and overly expensive place we had the misfortune to stay at! Upon checking in to reception, we were almost immediately asked what time we wanted to book in for dinner which we found unusual but a common theme travelling the west coast. Whilst I appreciated the desire to determine what time guests would be dining...

We stayed here one night as it is conveniently close to Cradle Mountain. The place was clean and reasonably comfortable, the food in the restaurant was good and the breakfast buffet generous, staff friendly. HOWEVER our cabin remained in the 70's when presumably built, the furniture had seen many better days and the beds frankly old, lumpy and uncomfortable. Wifi...

Fortunately we arrived early and took the opportunity to go for a walk to the Bridal and Champagne Falls and were not disappointed. The Retreat is located in a heavily wooded area with lots of ferns but no scenic views. The gravel road in had been recently repaired due to recent flooding and was in good shape. The rooms are...

Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat is in the wilderness and a great retreat, good place to do walks in the area. The lodge is about 8km off the main road along a dirt road, but not much traffic, just drive carefully. The lodge consisted of a number of chalets raised above the forest floor with great views of the trees and native...
