I stayed at Chateau Yering for a conference and have to say that the hotel was stunning, staff superb and food excellent. First up, the hotel is a heritage-type building with beautiful rooms and public areas all decorated appropriately. I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there and couldn't fault any of them. The breakfast menu in the Sweetwater Cafe was...

The Chateau Yering is a nearly perfect inn to stay in for its location, charm, and value in the Yarra Valley. The staff is unfailingly polite and helpful; the rooms are spacious and clean with modern amenities; the inn is charming inside and out. The location could hardly be better for those who are interested in the wineries of the...

This is a fantastic place to go as a couple. The accommodation is gorgeously old school, and the restaurant and vineyard are top notch as well. I would highly recommend it as a romantic get away to anyone.

We've been regulars here for 7 years now. One of the things we especially love about Château Yering is that it's always luxurious and upmarket but never uptight. Sue and her team always make us feel pampered and at home and their chef Mathew is so inventive which makes dining a high point. There is something about the whole experience...

Chateau Yering has all the components of a very elegant venture into life in bygone days. However the beautifully appointed dining room was sadly disappointing. The menu was lacking in variety and the four of us expressed less than average presentation of meals.

Took a Sunday drive to this delightful place forty minutes from Melbourne. Terrific environment, so many beautiful corners on the property to discover. We had a couple of share platters and a sensational bottle of Yering Pinot and enjoyed the afternoon. Will do it again for sure!

We had a couple of nights at Chateau Yering at the end of a busy trip. It has a country feel about the place, a change from large chains. It is however, in need of a little updating to really live up to the five star tourist rating. the room we had was very spacious, Internet fast in the room....

We went to Elenores for Mother's Day lunch. The dining room was gorgeous and intimate. This is why we went here I am sick of noisy modern spaces. The service was outstanding and the food was lovely. They even gave my little girl the same menu as ours but smaller which she loved. My only complaint was that the main...

We scored a lastminute.com.au special for 2 nights leading into Easter and were glad we chose Château Yering. We were upgraded to a Mountain View Suite (the Pethard Suite) which had an extensive balcony with views up the valley upward the mountains. I've divided this review into sections, with a summary at the end - I hope that helps. Room:...

You really need to ask specifically for a room with a view if you want a view of the hills/mountains and preferably confirm this in writing as many of the rooms look straight out onto the rooms in the other wing with a view of the hills only if you peer over the balcony. I imagine these rooms would also...
