Wife and I stayed in Unit 1 for two nights. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Bathroom dated but everything works. Overall establishment a bit dated in appearance but that is misleading. Very helpful and pleasant owners. And inexpensive!

Great experience and well worth the money spent! The host was very knowledgeable about what to do and where to go in the surrounding area. We are from the United States and it was great talking to the host and we were able to learn more about New Zealand. Comfortable beds and neat layout of the suite we stayed in....

Family and friends from NZ and overseas stayed here while attending a wedding. Ed and Larraine are great hosts, the units are clean and tidy and being able to see and feed the farm animals was a highlight for some guests. Well situated out of town but only 15 minutes to Kerikeri, Paihia or Kawakawa.

This motel is located a few miles out of Paihia, on a highway junction. The road is fairly busy, but the units are extremely comfortable - big, shady, very well-appointed. There's a nice little pool (but be careful of the ladder getting in) that was perfect for a mid-afternoon wallow, screened from the road by good planting and fencing. If...

Very tidy, comfy accomodation, friendly owners (and farm pets) handy location. I was surprised at how quiet it was even though on a busy road. Great place to stay if you are visiting Paihia and Kerikeri

Even though its next to the highway, you don't here much noise, because of nice rooms. The rooms were extremely clean and very spacious. The hosts are very friendly and gave so much information about in and around places to visit. There is a full kitchen setup which helped us in cooking food during our stay.

We had a great time staying at the Bay of Islands Country Lodge for one week during April. The rooms were extremely clean and cosy. The animals on the property are all very friendly and we loved feeding Hazel the piggy and Minty the sheep. Fantastic location too as we were such a short distance from both Paihia and Keri-Keri....

This was our first stop on our tour of NZ. What a fantastic start. Laraine and Ed our hosts couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The room was great, lovely and spacious with all the facilities, bathroom, kitchen and a verandah overlooking a wonderfully peaceful garden. Swimming pool and jacuzzi all included. Laundry facilities on site. We would recommend...

Really nice place to stay as a family. Comfortable units, good facilities, friendly owners and the kids loved all the animals. Located very centrally for many local attractions - makes a great base to explore from.

Yes, you can hear the traffic, but it's not a thundering roar. An odd motel, for all that, inasmuch as, nicely furnished, with a well equipped kitchenette, but some of the interior is getting dated and could do with a do up, but it's immaculately clean, and the people (and all the chooks, piglets, goats and cat) are very friendly!...
