We stayed in David's Room and it was lovely. The breakfasts were excellent as were our host, David, and his mother, Barbara. The added surprise was a guided tour of the Captain's Mansion by its owner, Barbara. It has a ship, or at least most of it, built into the 3 rd floor and attic. It was fantastic! They do...

Thanks so much for your kind comments. We really do enjoy getting to know our guests, and sharing our historic home and area with them. We want to clarify that we do have 'smart TV with Netflix' in some of the bed and breakfast rooms, but regular television is available, upon request, in the Captain's recreation room on the 3rd...

We stayed here 2 nights in the The Rebecca Ann Room in the Coach House. It was very large for a B&B room and very comfortable. Plenty of windows for the sun to shine in. Everything was very clean and amenities were sufficient. The bed was soft and the furnishing were charming Fresh Coffee was brought to a little closet...

This is a great place to spend the night. We cam eot watch the fireworks and parade for the 4th. Clean, nice water view, soaker tub and a comfortable bed. Walking distance to a great restaurant called Tommy's. Breakfast was well prepared. The tour of the house is well worth the stop. Only downside is that the room is relatively...

We stayed 2 nights in the waterside cottage - the Cheryl Ann Suite - and it was perfect. Breakfasts were fantastic and David was an accommodating and hilarious host. He made sure that we were comfortable and took care of any needs we had immediately. There is an osprey nest right outside the cottage - bring your binoculars! Beautiful sunrises...

We come to The Gables once a year. We love it. My husband and I travel a lot and are on the road so much during the year, that we just need that quiet, peaceful getaway. The host Barbara and her family are just wonderful people. She always makes us feel at home. She is a great cook, and coffee...

We stayed in The Gables in Reedville last Friday night. The room as another reviewer mentioned is in the Coach house. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. WiFi was available. There is no TV service though there is a TV in the rooms with DVD's available to watch. We used the WIFI to watch a movie on our Kindle...

We have family in the Reedville area and wanted to stay somewhere affordable nearby because there was a full house and discovered The Gables after doing some research online. Fully met our expectations. Barbara and her husband were warm and friendly and good-humored, making us feel at home. Her buttery French toast was delicious, and was served with sausage links,...

In general we had a very nice experience, but be advised: you won't be staying in the charming gabled mansion in the photo. All B&B rooms are in the "Coach House" or another auxiliary building. All the B&B rooms are nicely decorated in Victorian style, as is the breakfast room, but the outside of the Coach House is quite plain-Jane....

My husband and I went to Reedville for business and planned on extending our stay for the weekend to explore the Northern Neck. We ended up having to leave a day early due to my husbands work demands and the Inn Keeper Ms. Barbra couldn't have been nicer about the situation. We stayed in the "Coach House" our room was...

We were traveling up the Bay by sailboat and found the Gables a great place to stop. The house has it's own dock which was easy to get into/out of. We booked a room for the night and ended up staying 2 because of weather. We got a wonderful tour of the original house by the owner and superb breakfasts...
