Ubon is the most welcoming, gracious host! Ubon Thai is a victorian mansion mixed with Thai splendor- unique, beautiful, and nestled right in the heart of Staunton within walking distance of down town. We have stayed here years ago, and Ubon remembered us and welcomed us "home!" Our stay included a choice of Thai or western breakfast, but I don't...

So I thought I would surprise my husband and book a B&B instead of a hotel. We got a surprise but not a pleasant one. When we arrived in the afternoon, the doors were locked. There was a note on the door from another traveler, asking when they would open and to call. It was dated the day before... Not...

We arrived at Staunton late on Thanksgiving night, ravenous and fearful that every eatery would be closed. After calling a few places, we discovered that this place was open. Thai for Thanksgiving? Why not. Boy, were we in for a surprise! The restaurant itself is quirky, dazzling, and homey all at the same time. Mismatched tables, chairs, linens and decor...

We came for a show at the Shakespeare Center and stayed here. The old Victorian mansion is overstuffed with warmth and charm. The proprietress is delightful She makes sure you feel welcome and are well fed. I had her red curry, which was the best I have ever eaten. We took the option of a Thai breakfast rather than an...

My wife and I had a great dinner here. Quiet place and excellent service. Ubon is a wonderful lady and her food is the best Thai I have had in awhile. I'm not making this up! The food is very fresh and well prepared . Cant wait to go back again soon.

We were in Staunton for a weekend and stayed at this B&B. The decorations are a unique combination of Thai and antiques and the room was comfortable. The very friendly host, Ubon, made the stay noteworthy. Thai breakfast was delicious-- noodles and homemade sauces for kick.

Although advertised as a B&B, the latter was not on par with any B&B to which I've been, and all the more so considering cost of&166 for a one night stay. Despite that rate being advertised as "including breakfast"- this was literally just a plate full of flavorless noodles with broccoli accompanied only by a cup of drip coffee. No...

I live in Northern Virginia and enjoy an embarrassment of choices for ethnic cuisines, including my favorite Thai restaurants, Duangrats and Rabieng. Thus it is quite extraordinary to find Thai food of equivalent quality in small town Virginia. How good? This past Friday was my third visit in the past year. It ahs become a 'go to' on my trips...

If you are looking for an out-of-the-ordinary B&B, this is your place. The decor is definitely different with it's mixture of Thai and American, but the host, Ubon and her incredibly friendly staff make your stay very enjoyable! The bedroom was spacious and clean AND the food was amazing!

My better half and I are spending a quiet weekend in Staunton to get away from the grind. We're fans of Thai Food and were intrigued by the idea of a Thai restaurant attached to an historic Victorian Mansion. The food was really good, if a bit heavy for Thai dishes, but full of comforting flavor. Clearly fresh spices and...
