If you want to leave cares and worries behind and kick back and relax for a couple days, Sugar Tree Inn is just what you're looking for. Nestled high in the Blue Ridge mountains between Staunton and Lexington VA, it's the perfect place to curl up before the fireplace with a good book. Or, just as nice, use it as...

This Inn is very "homie" the beds are comfortable and the breakfast was very good. We loved the cabin ambience and in the fall is beautiful with the orange trees. The Inn keeper was sweet and very welcoming. My only suggestion is the tub ran out of hot water very quickly, so we couldn't take a hot bath. I will...

Simply a wonderful visit to Sugar Tree Inn. All accommodations were excellent and the owner/innkeepers were very kind and accommodating. Definitely worth the drive to stay at this Inn. Keep in mind when booking that several rooms do not have TVs. Plan to just relax and enjoy the scenery.

My husband and I returned this week from yet another great visit to Sugar Tree Inn! It has become our favorite place to just "be" and relax. When we travel the things we enjoy the most are B&B's! Becky and Jeff are the most congenial hosts we have had as they welcome us like old friends, show us around, tell...

We were greeted by Jeff, who was a delight and immediately made us feel welcome and showed us to a beautiful room. However from there we felt things went downhill, when we meet the lady of the house, Becky, she completely ignored us initially and then when faced with no choice she was pretty curt with us. Dinner was nice...

Ignoring and being curt with guests is not what Becky does, so I'm not sure what the real story is here. But I do know that this guest did run the deer off while a dining room full of guests were trying to see them. He clearly didn't care about the other guests, and Becky clearly did. We're sorry he...

Our second visit to Sugar Tree Inn was as wonderful as our first. Quiet, secluded and casual this Inn has become our "get away escape" from the hustle and bustle. Becky and Jeff are always friendly and are very knowledgeable about area attractions and restaurants. Their breakfasts are always tasty, hearty and filling. Sharing our breakfast with the local wildlife...

We stayed as a group in the Creek House on a recent bike trip. The hosts were amazing-- they helped with SAG for a fellow rider, they catered to our needs on a Sunday night, and even aided us on our way kindly in the morning-- and the location right off the BRP is amazing. Breakfast was amazing: the eggs...

We stayed in the St. Mary's cabin, which was secluded and comfortable. Becky and Jeff were friendly and informative, and gave us plenty of ideas when planning our days. The place was clean the robes that were provided were very comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious and so filling, we could skip lunch. As stated by other posters, the oatmeal is a...

An outstanding location just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Shady and cool on a hot day -- we slept well with the air conditioner off and the windows open. Good view from front porch with dozens of hummingbirds. Very large room with stone fireplace, tiny bathroom. Old and a bit musty. Lots of unfriendly notices to guests about towels, no...

While we always hate to hear that a guest was less than happy with our inn, especially our service and breakfast, we know that the vast majority of our guests appreciate our style of innkeeping and think our breakfasts are great. Please take a minute to peruse the other reviews and we think you'll agree with us. Once again, we're...

If you love the mountains and amazing views, this is your place! No matter where you stay, there is a view of the mountains looking down into the valley, flowing creeks, and lots of nature (deer, hummingbirds galore, chipmunks, etc...). The breakfasts also kept us full between the fruit, biscuits, eggs, coffee, etc...and we usually didn't eat again until dinner....
