I made a reservation weeks before my visit and received a confirmation email. I made the reservation on the hotel website. However when I arrived on my check-in date on March 11, 2023 I found a note on the entrance that it was closed for the 2023. No one answered the phone. I had to look for another place to stay.

Do not ever book your stay here! Horrible, horrible service - complete disregard for guests. They treated us very poorly during a power outage and gave us absolutely no heads up about changes in our reservation.

The hotel is clean and the rooftop deck is a nice view in the evening. The staff is super kind and I had no complaints about how the hotel was run. However, the hotel is a little older and the bed isn’t the comfiest. There is a nightclub two stores down and the music is loud if you’re on the furthest end of the hotel. You can hear people talking in other rooms. The location is great - there is a nice bar/restaurant in front of the hotel and it’s just within walking distance of many places. We enjoyed how close things were like places to eat and the beach. It’s not for the boujee, but it’s alright.

Rooftop terrace was the best thing. Was told all the rooms were the same size, but how could they be? 2 beds in a room but it's the same size was what we were told. I don't think so. It was very uncomfortable. The worst linens and pillows, shower water gets all in the floor, window air conditioner unit rattles, not sealed up around it well. Not worth the money.

The Atlantic Hotel was acceptable for the price we booked our room for. We had a great location to access the beach and all the shops on Atlantic Ave. The hotel is an older hotel, but was very clean. The front desk clerks were friendly and inviting. Our room was an efficiency and was the perfect size for two people. My biggest complaint is the smell of Marijuana every time we walked through the halls and into our room. That got old!!!

There is only parking for about 20 cars, if full you have to walk 3 1/2 blocks to parking. No in-room coffee, the lobby does not offer coffee or any sort of breakfast. The shower curtain does not stop water from going out onto the floor flooding the floor because it is short. room service does not supply fresh towels each day. the floor below us had music blaring till 10 PM. The door keycards stopped working the 2nd day and the staff tried 3 times to fix them and couldn't. OH, but we did receive a free sports bra left by a past customer. NOT worth the money. We have stayed at many hotels across the U.S. and this one is a dive!

I'll start with the positive. Staff is beyond kind and helpful!!!! Walking distance to the beach and toons of stores. Now with the negative: WAY TOO EXPENSIVE (1000.00) FOR 3 NIGHTS!! Beds are absolutely the cheapest possible and cement hard. Pillows will hurt your neck after the first night. You are given 2 sheets to sleep with, no blankets and the one that is supplied is DISGUSTING. Absolutely needs to be updated. The bathroom walls are coming apart, and has mold. Tiles on window seal is held by tape. The unbelievable noise from the street and bar are HORRIBLE. Do not at expect to go to sleep before 3 am. The floors are all tiles so you absolutely will slip and fall. Our daughter hit her head twice. MAKE SURE YOU COUNT YOUR TOWELS IN YOUR ROOM. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR EACH ONE. We called our first night because we were not even given the correct number. Parking can be very tricky. There isnt enough for the amount of guests. If you like a Hostel feel for LUXURY price, then this is the place for you.

This was our first trip to VA Beach and we couldn't have asked for a better hotel. It has an amazing location. We could walk to everything we needed. The hotel staff was friendly, we even got to check in a bit early. Our room was clean and comfortable. I appreciate that the floors were tile, the sand was easier to manage. The hotel offers a roof top deck, and has a great view of the strip. We plan to stay here again next summer! During July, the city has street entertainment, one of thr locations is at the hotel. We were treated to live music and fore juggler show.nit was a nice surprise!

My husband and I came to Virginia Beach for the weekend to fish at the nearby pier. The pier was on 14th Street and the 19Atlantic is on 19th. The room was significantly less expensive as the oceanfront properties and was just across the street from the beach/boardway area. The location is great as there are alot of places to walk to. The rooftop deck had a pretty view of the beach and serves more as a smoking area. It was not well maintained like in the pictures. Cigarette butts everywhere and old chairs. Our room was alot smaller than we anticipated and when we sat on the toilette our knees almost touched the wall. We were missing washclothes and bathmat as well. There were a few strands of long black hair on the towels and linens. Considering the price compared to the other hotels, it was ok because we planned on going to the beach and fishing most of the time. If this wasn't a fishing trip and we wanted to be somewhere more comfortable and with more amenities, we probably would've opted for a different hotel. I would like to add that despite these few things, the front desk staff was extremely polite and helpful.

BEWARE OF THE ROACHES!!! I wish I could give this hotel -2 stars. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and I don't ask for much, just the basics such as a clean room, decent temperature, and bug-free. Just regular stuff. My husband and I decided to do a quick getaway to VA Beach for a few days. We decided to ignore the 2 star rating and take a chance. It can't be that bad, right? WRONG!! We'll never take a chance without fully reading the reviews again. 19 Atlantic Hotel officially taught us a lesson about terrible hotels. There were some pros about the hotel. It has a microwave and refrigerator. There was parking at the back of the hotel. It's in a terrific location. We could cross the street and be at the beach in less than 5 minutes. Also, it was in the middle of everything...clubs, shopping, restaurants, and fun. No complaints about that. I loved it! However, when it was time to go in for the night, we were met with a horrible musty smell throughout the hotel and the room. The room was dirty. The sheets were stained. I was scared to sleep on the sheets, so I asked for an extra set of sheets to go over the sheets and pillowcases. Also, they didn't give us a comforter. The AC was blasting air all night. So, we were freezing and only had a measly thin sheet to share. Also, the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. I was drying my hair with my hair dryer and it set off the smoke detector. I went looking for the phone to alert the front desk. Guess what...no phone! How can we contact the front desk, maintenance, or housekeeping without a phone? That's a basic for all hotels. Lastly and most importantly, there were two HUGE roaches running freely in the room. That's totally unacceptable! By the way, I also heard some scratching behind the bed. I just don't want to think about what that probably was. It was a scary three nights. If you don't mind a bit of dirt and roaches, go ahead and stay here. Just bring some Lysol and bug spray. If you have some standards when it comes to where you stay, please skip this hotel. You've been warned.
