Dining at the Foster Harris house was such a special experience for us, as we rarely get out without our two small children. They made the night so special for my husband's birthday, and the food was delicious. The wine parings were amazing as well. We recommend this to anyone who wants to have a super special evening out!

My wife and I decided to do a weekend "babymoon" to Washington, VA before the baby comes. We live in Maryland so this was only a couple of hours of drive for us. We've heard a lot about the food at The Inn, so I booked a dinner there. We considered staying at The Inn also, but the price was...

We stayed two nights at the Foster Harris House and couldn't have been happier with our decision. Impeccable food and service, and John and Diane MacPherson are excellent hosts. Warm, attentive and welcoming are the words to describe them and the inn. The meals were all delicious and well thought out, and we can't wait to visit again! We were...

We just stayed at the Foster Harris House for the last four wonderful nights of our honeymoon. Diane and John Macpherson are fantastic hosts and made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived, helping us plan activities and responding to all of our needs quickly and with a smile. Our room was gorgeous (straight out of a magazine spread)...

Going to the Foster Harris House is like returning to the home of good friends, people you haven’t seen in three years, but the conversation picks up right where you left off. The owners, John and Diane McPherson have set a high bar for any other B & Bs (sorry, Inn at Little Washington!) We had not been there in...

This Inn is down the street from the world famous Inn at Little Washington. We stayed at the Foster Harris Inn and had dinner there as well. I cannot imagine a better meal anywhere. Every taste and every dish was so delicious and beautifully presented. We spent 3 hours at dinner and it seemed like 30 minutes.

We have eaten at the Inn at Little Washington several times and thought we would give Foster Harris a try after reading so many rave reviews. The food was as outstanding as that served at the Inn and as beautifully presented too. At Foster Harris, the service was friendly and gracious as opposed to the Inn which leans toward formal...

We stayed at the FHH as a surprise for my birthday. It was wonderful! John and Diane are so friendly, warm, and welcoming, we didn't want to leave! The Meadow room was gorgeous, with its own little private entry. Dinner was spectacular (the menu even said Happy Birthday). John is a phenomenal chef. We had the wine pairing at dinner...

This was all around an excellent experience. We stayed one night, and also had dinner there the night before. The dinner was marvelous, and we were fortunate to be seated at a large table in the kitchen where we could see the food preparation. Diane and John were wonderful hosts, and even gave us great advice on bicycling routes in...
