After switching our reservation from a Microtel in Sandston to be walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg, we regretted our decision. The A/C did not work and made an intermittent squealing sound while on; the windows wouldn't open so we got no sleep due to the high temperature in the room. They had no extra pillows. The linens on the beds...

Great location for visiting williamsburg as it is an easy walk to the centre, but it is a tired and featureless hotel. The corridors are noisy, so I wouldn't recommend for any one on business who really needs their sleep. The breakfast buffet service was a joke - long, long queues, waiting behind people determined to pile as many doughnuts...

We had an enjoyable stay here for 3 days over Christmas. This is a quiet motel just a short walk from the historic area. Not luxurious but clean & nicely furnished. Apparently pet friendly as well, as we saw many guests with dogs, however they never disturbed us. The continental breakfast is served in the roomy downstairs lounge, not in...

Just stayed at the Patrick Henry last weekend. While it isn't a 5 star hotel - anyone expecting that needs to stay away. This is a comfortable, reasonably priced hotel, and it has the 3 L's - location, location, location. It is only about 2 blocks away from the Capitol building in Colonial Williamsburg, and you pass a shuttle stop...

It is close to the historic area, but it hasn't been updated since the '70's (I'm being generous). Very threadbare carpets and bedding. We had very little contact with the staff, but they seemed reasonably nice.

After reading reviews of other 3 star hotels/motels in this area, I guess this one is about par. Positives: Close to the historic area and convenient to both Busch Gardens and Water Country. The front desk staff is very nice and try to do what they can to help. (The second morning, they offered us coupons to a pancake house...

This hotel is within walking/bicycling distatnce of the historic area. It is older, the beds are uncomfortable (we had two doubles) and the hallways tend to be noisy - we had a small barking dog across the hall from us. When we checked in at 5:30 pm there were no towels in our room and we were hot and sweaty...

The only thing going for this hotel is that it is within walking distance of the Colonial Williamsburg area. The rooms are old and in need of some rehab, the staff was cranky, and the restaurant in the building is horrible.

My now-husband and I stayed at the Patrick Henry Inn nearly two years ago and had a room in the king section. It's a newer wing of just king rooms. We had a deep jacuzzi tub right in the room, and it was fabulous. I don't remember what we paid but it was a great value considering the tub! We...

The Best Western Patrick Henry is a wonderful hotel. My family has spent every Thanksgiving at this hotel for the past 20 years. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. A fenced horse pasture is directly across the street to the delight of my children. One horse remembers us each year and runs to the fence for his carrot and apple. The...
