The Mountain Rose is a new found favorite more my wife and I. We were only able to stay for one night but hope to return again soon. The innkeepers were kind and had great information about the surrounding area. Breakfast was excellent and the room was very comfortable. Thanks for the great stay!

Thank you for the very kind review. We certainly hope you come see us again. Experiencing seasonal changes at the Inn and around the area are pretty spectacular!

My husband and I spent a very enjoyable weekend here last summer. The innkeepers were extremely attentive, the inn was clean and comfortable. We spent time at the nearby vineyards and some drives down the parkway. Was also nice to just sit out by the stream and relax. Would highly recommend for any couples wanting a weekend getaway.

Although we were not here when during your stay last summer, we hope you will return this year for more romance and local touring. We've blazed a trail on the other side of the creek and our pool area has been spiffed up and is beautiful to sit by and cool off after a day of wineries and shopping. We...

What an amazing place! It is very secluded and peaceful. The old house has been renovated and the rooms were beautiful! This was our first stay in a B & B and we were very pleased with the experience. The Innkeepers, Patrick and Shelly, made us feel very welcome and comfortable and the breakfasts were awesome!

We stayed here while attending a wedding in Floyd, Va. Beautiful, peaceful setting on a trout stream in the mountains. Rooms were very clean and quaint . Each had its own bathroom. Delicious breakfast served every morning. The Innkeepers, Shelly and Patrick, were very nice, informative, and so accommodating! We will definitely recommend the Inn to our friends and hope...

Diane, We are so glad to hear that your stay was relaxing despite your busy wedding schedule. If you have the chance, come back this summer to sit by the pool and hear some music from Patrick. The nice thing about the Mountain Rose, is that we have everything here for a relaxing get-away without you having to go anywhere....

Came to the Mountain Rose Inn as an alternate to the higher prices associated with graduation at Virginia Tech (1-hour to the NW). Yes, the drive to the graduation site was longer but the value and atmosphere of this awesome little Inn was worth every minute. The Inn sits on a 100 acres along a stream just south of the...

Thanks so much for the feedback! We always feel badly when a guest doesn't get to sit in our lovely dining room to enjoy our 3-course breakfast, so the to-go meal was the least we could do. When you have more time, be sure to come see us again so that you can truly take in the grounds, pool, and...

The Mountain Rose Inn was a lovely place to stay. The grounds are lovely... it was a bit too cold when we were there to spend a ton of time, but we did appreciate how well kept they were and all of the offered seating locations, firepit, etc. The breakfast each morning was delicious, and the restaurant recommendations for dinner...

We love NASCAR fans but wish they had more time to enjoy the Inn! Thank you for noticing out attention to detail and service. We try very hard to provide our guests with inviting places to relax and enjoy like our fire pit area, creek side deck, and covered porches. We are continuing to create additional places to relax and...

Me and my husband had our wedding here in 2013 and they made it one of the most memorable days of my life. There are plenty of great places to eat not too far away but you have to expect to drive a little with being in the mountains. If that is what you have to put up with for...

Spent 2 nights on our trip from NY to CA. Yeah, a little out of the way but we visited 2 years ago and needed a booster shot. Shelly provided 5 star breakfasts that kept you fueled till dinner and tasted Ohhlala. Shelly and Patrick are great hosts! We are planning another visit in the future and will get in...

My wife and I took a "babymoon" here to get away. We only stayed two nights but the place is lovely, and the new hosts were absolutely wonderful. The breakfasts we had both mornings were absolutely exquisite- three course meals that were amazng. Highly reccomend.

This was our second stay at this 100+acre historic property on a river. We drove over 3 hours to get there, by choice, as our first experience was so good.
