Very nice, clean room. The bed was very comfortable. There are only 2 rooms in this B&B. It's in a house where the owners also live. Good location. It's a very cozy place. The breakfast next morning was well cooked. The owners are nice and helpful. They accept check or cash.

I spent three nights (with a short trip to Vancouver in between) at the DeCann house. It is a beautiful old home, lovingly maintained by Van and Barb. I stayed in the room with the view of the Bay. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is spacious, although the shower is a bit small (fine for me, but...

We loved our four nights at the DeCann House and found it to be a near perfect spot for exploring Bellingham and the surrounding area. First of all, the house is charming, filled with interesting turn-of- the- century furnishings. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom and even a small walk-in closet. The weather was warm, but...

This B & B has a nice view of the bay from the upstairs rooms. The house is old but the bed was newer and clean. The breakfast was heavy carb--some sort of cold oatmeal with dried fruit (I didn't like it at all) and stuffed French toast--very sweet. If you like that sort of breakfast, you will enjoy this....

Barb and Van have run this B and B for many years and know how to do it! My daughter and I had a lovely stay for two nights. The old home is charming and interestingly and lovingly decorated. The house is one mile from town and we enjoyed running there and back before breakfast and Later walking to town...

Barb Hudson loves antiques and has tastefully filled her 1902 vintage home with them--from the antique pool table which guests have use of to the furniture and knickknacks. It's an antique lovers dream. The rooms are spacious and en suite, also sporting lovely antique furniture and furnishings. Breakfast includes homemade blueberry jam and home canned peaches. The street out front...

We recently spent 3 nights at the DeCann House and had a comfortable stay. Barbara and Van told us all about the islands before we took off on our sailing adventure, gave us directions to great local restaurants and tips on shopping. We enjoyed playing pool and all the touches they had in the room: lots of extra room for...

We were met at the airport, at no cost. Wow! What great people! They gave us a very nicely furnished room, and full run of the beautifully renovated public rooms, plus all the information we needed for our stay. Next morning, we were a short taxi ride from the cruise terminal, where we departed to cruise on the Zodiac (highly...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The DeCann House is closed for the foreseeable future. Many thanks to all of our guests through our many years of hosting. This turn of the century home is close to downtown, the waterfront and the university. Barb and Van remodeled this home and love to discuss her history. Guests can play pool in the parlor or lounge in the comfortable common area. Both guest rooms have queen size beds and private baths. A special breakfast will start your day with a smile. ... more   less
