Stay at a place where somebody cares! Every room is different, and unique - if not a labor of love, then one of fun and delight. I can guarantee you will never find another room just like it in the world. It is a good clean place to spend a night, and it's reasonably priced. If you have no sense...

Like staying in an old prairie home full kitchen and antiques everywhere you look. Antique shop alone is worth the stay. 32 day road trip from wv to Alaska and back we stayed in everything from campgrounds to luxury lodges and this was our favorite. Talking to the hottest and owner is a sheer delight, will be incorporating many of...

By prior arrangement, we (a couple) arrived late at night. Our key was in the location described and the western themed room was ready. First night, the room needed heating, the thermostat was on the wall, no problem. A swing in the weather on our second night had me lying awake, listening to the intermittent hum of next door's AC....

We stayed at this place on our way passing through. From the outside if I hadn't read the reviews we would have kept driving! We arrived and it was confusing where to register but we seen another couple open a door and we followed them! The rooms were musty from the antiques and the air didn't work well so we...

Definitely nontraditional, unique and an adventure. The property looks well-maintained, an indication the owners take pride in the place. They have created a Western-themed motel that's an unique experience. Our room was clean, reasonably-priced, and interesting. It had a refrigerator, a microwave, coffee maker, a clock and internet. The bed was comfortable, and we got a good night's sleep. The...

I have stayed here 3 times this year, it's not a luxury hotel but is a nice place for the location and the price. All my rooms have been clean, the Internet has been good and the staff is helpful. Would recommend for travelers.

I worked in Davenport as a travel RN for five months and stayed for the entirety at Black Bear. The owner and manager, Kim is friendly and very accommodating even though she is the busiest person I have ever seen! The room was clean and had an amazing amount of storage space for the size. Everyone there was very respectful...

Though clean, quaint and quiet this motel was too untraditional for my liking. Black Bear Motel offered the basic amenities for a one star lodging with the exception of heat. Our room was cold and we weren't able to find a switch or button to turn the heater on. In order to take a shower we had to let the...

This place is in a very small town not far from the larger city of Spokane. This is one of those places that has managed to take care of an aging motel, keeping it clean and fresh. They have decorated the rooms in various 'themes' which to some might be 'kitschy', but as a fishing person who coincidently got the...

This is an old motel that the owner has decorated in a western theme. Comfy bed. AC. Breakfast is an experience you should not miss. Fancy? Absolutely not. Great value. Clean and cheap and entertaining all in one.
