The campsite was close to the rest rooms, and 150 yard walk from the beach. About 30 minutes from Ruby Beach, and the Hole In the Wall. Also close to the Rain Forest. The trees were covered in moss and just beautiful in our campsite. This was the place of greatest beauty we had seen in a 40 day 7000...

Kalaloch is a beautiful campground, right on the Pacific Ocean. Campers should note, they are also in a tsunami zone, and if there is an earthquake, they need to head inland/higher ground. Our one big disappointment with Kalaloch is they did not provide showers for campers. We managed without a shower, though some campers knew this and had set up...

This is an incredible campground, next to the Pacific Ocean. Walking the beach to see the huge driftwood, myriad of crab shells, clam shells, sand dollars, sea anenome and star fish in the tide pools. Watching the sunset over the ocean. Campstore (with coffee and espresso, wine/beer, food, ice cream, some supplies) and a hotel/restaurant next door. Bathrooms, fresh water,...

Amazing campground! Definitely recommend to anyone staying at the park. Very friendly rangers. Pick your campground carefully - some are very small and you might not be able to fit much into it. Most sites would fit only 1 tent. Avoid campgrounds by the road if you can.

We stayed at this campground for two nights just before online reservations took affect (June 16th & 17th, 2014). It was the perfect time to stay, before the campground got super busy. We had a beautiful site overlooking the ocean, fire pits and clean bathrooms.

We stayed at Kalaloch (pronounced 'Kah-lay-lock ') from the 20th of June through the 22nd of June in campsite B003. The site was very shaded and dark, as were almost all of the sites on the B-loop. No showers and no electricity at the sites so go prepared. That said, this site was perfectly situated in that it was only...

I've been making a yearly "family reunion" trip to Kalaloch for the last 2 decades and believe it's one of the most beautiful and pristine beaches you can access without a lot of hiking (including 101 along the Oregon coast). If you want a good cliff side, ocean view site, book ahead (6 months) or check for cancellations at the...

I was lucky enough to reserve ocean-front camping spot (D33) just few days in advance. I guess someone cancelled his reservation, that's why it was possible. This is pretty nice campground, a little bit too crowded but still nice. Spot wasn't really big, but had some privacy and enough space to fit 6 people tent, car, table and camp fire....

Reserve early! If you want a site with an ocean view in the summer then you will need to be on the website exactly 6 months out. As usual in a national park campground there are decent bathrooms, but no showers. Most sites had decent privacy from neighbors. Firewood was available from a truck/trailer that drove the loops in the...

We did the whole Olympic National Park tour and this place is incredible. The parking lot is not too far from the road and then you can go for a walk in the woods, go on the beach and the view is just amazing, crazy!! Worth the stop. Unfortunately, it was winter so we didn't camp there.. Would definitely come...
