Quiet and romantic cottage bed and breakfast separate from the main house was relaxing and quiet. The host Jen is lovely and her breakfast was delicious. Location is great for exploring gig harbour, lots of places to eat and hikes nearby. We will be back for a longer stay!

My husband and I wanted to get away from home to relax, refresh and have a little "couple time" without traveling for hours from our home. Bear's Lair Bed & Breakfast was the perfect place. The proprietor, Jen, was friendly and helpful. She made us feel welcome and comfortable as she shared her beautiful rustic home and spoiled us with...

The rooms are very nicely decorated. The beds are comfortable. Incudes DVD player and movies too. There is free WI-FI but had a hard time staying connected. A nice property. Very quiet. The staff are friendly. The breakfast was very good. Would recommend if coming to the Gig Harbor area.

We wanted a quick weekend getaway not to far from home. This place is absolutely amazing. The house and grounds are beautiful and well kept. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our hostess Jen was very attentive to our needs and knew all the local establishments to offer suggestions for our dining needs. I would recommend this B&B to anyone. They...

I was brought here as a surprise from my girlfriend when I suggested a small short one night get away and it was one of the best nights of my life. There is so much story here, the prices are great, the location is perfect, the serenity of nature just oozes from the forest and looking around at the building,...

We stayed here because it's close to our daughter's house. We were pleasantly surprised! Beautiful inside and out, private bath, great breakfast and conversation with the owners. We'll be back for sure!

Our son and his family live is Gig Harbor. We visit them every year. They would like us to stay at the guest house, but we always stay at the Bear's Lair. Why spend the money when we don't need to? Because the Bear's Lair is beyond perfection: the "campus" is huge, utterly remote and quiet; Jen's cooking is exemplary....

You feel very isolated at this bed and breakfast. The surrounding gardens and woods are spectacular. The rooms are very comfortable. The bathroom is exceptionally clean. The breakfasts are delicious and include multiple juices and fresh fruit. In the evening, coffee, tea, cookies, soda, jelly beans are all available. Jen and Giulio Santori built their home here in stages. Giulio is a master carpenter...

They built this beautiful B & B from the ground up, including all the furniture!! The craftsmanship is amazing and the breakfast is to die for!
