We decided to try a new place on Mayfield Lake as the other RV park was full for the weekend we were available. We were disappointed by the lack of privacy at our site. The area for swimming at the lake was small. The views of the lake were limited and the configuration of sites…
We've stayed here a couple times in our RV. The people are very friendly. The facility is clean. It's pretty tight in the RV spots - but if you're there primarily for the boating - it works well. It's family friendly too. Don't have to worry about late night noise. They…
Rented a boat for a couple of hours fishing. And ate in the restaurant. Limited menu, diner type food choices, average price >$10. Staff seemed helpful and polite. Facilities were run down, but clean.
Being off season, very quite and no crowd. There is small store for forgottem items, nice restrooms that were very clean and well maintained. Watercraft rentals. Besides RV sites there are lots of tent sites as well as motel.
We go there for the kayaking and canoeing rentals. Lovely route to the waterfall. It has a great Marina and that sweet small town charm. Owner operated and the employees are nice. Clean showers great prices and the lake is 80 feet deep off the docks.
"Small RV spots, tent sites are small on the island, poorly maintained - no water or restroom access on island camp ground."
"All of the rooms had nice wide covered porches with tables and chairs for enjoying the outdoors, even if it rained."
"There are two 2 story hotel spots on the property, one is closer to the lake, other has an expansive view of the lake up the hill."
"Tell them how many people you have. With so many different size rooms, they have a room to accommodate! Pets are very welcome too!"
"Both lodges are above ground level. Aspen ground level can be accessed by driving up to a small (3 cars can park) area and unloading. Then you must move your car to a lover area and climb steps or walk up the driveway. Johnson Lodge has no less than 20 stairs to the first floor with no way to get there other than to climb the stairs. Not handicap accessible in any way."
