Had an amazing time at the sands this past weekend with my wife for her birthday. Although the weather was a bit stormy we still had an amazing stay at the sands. Ocean view, the suite was set up like a little cabin. Super cozy, had a full mini kitchen and fireplace. Was perfect for the weather to enjoy the... More

We have done an annual trip to the Sands for over 20 years. Parents, grandkids, and anyone we considered family we would bring with us. Renting anywhere from 3-6 rooms annually for one week and a ton of weekend trips throughout the year. Over the last several years we had seen the condition and cleanliness go down but we're forgiving... More

My girlfriend and I stayed her with our kids over labor day weekend. Price was $550 for 2 nights. Check in went smoothly, and that's were the enjoyment stopped. Took about 5 Minutes to get the door unlocked, it was rusty and broken. When we entered the room, we were greeted with the unpleasant smell of mold. The rooms are... More

Our room was decent, at first. Nice view, close walk to the ocean, kitchen was functional and appliances worked. As our visit went on, we noticed these black centipede type worms that were everywhere (floor, walls, ceiling. (They're nocturnal). It turned our stay from okay to bothersome and uncomfortable. Never again will we stay here.

I knew when my friend booked this place we were taking a risk. First impression was from the desk clerk who made us feel like we were interrupting her, she wasn't very friendly. Had a dispute over the price and she wasn't helpful. Got the keys, went to the room (mind you, your front door is a glass slider probably... More

Room was Ok and relatively clean. Had easy beach access right out back slider and convenient dog areas. Slider door was extremely hard to open and close. A little over priced probably due to Seahawk week end with many product booths, food trucks and Seahawk moms etc. (No Seahawk players). Employees were nice and friendly. Had full kitchen. Bring hair... More

Every time we stay here we enjoy it. May not be upscale hotel, but the rooms are larger then most other hotels. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Continental breakfast is good. If you stay in a junior suite on the second floor the view is pretty good.

OK, so the Sands is an older property. And with that, there are some things that are beyond the owners control (thin walls, outdated architecture, rising heat on upper floors). But that said, the owners have gone out of their way to make the Sands a very comfortable, fun, and unique place to stay. The rooms (at least the one... More

Stay here as your last option! Oldest motel in Ocean Shores. Not cheap either. My junior suite was 140/night. I think It used to be 2 or 3 different motels that they made into 1 "resort". I stayed in the 2-story building. I've never stayed here before so I thought I would try it because they accept pets, but I... More

Went with family members we had at least 6 different rooms some of the heaters worked, and like ours turned it passed 80 and the room was freezing all night.
