Good hotel, friendly staff, great location, disappointing breakfast. Close enough to walk to capitol lake & the capitol. Breakfast at the restaurant on the main floor with vouchers. Crappy eggs & sausage, 2 types of cereal but had 3 containers, stale toast. It was so bad that our 13 year old son that eats everything had a few bites and...

I was thoroughly disappointed and unsatisfied with my experience at this hotel. Despite arriving at the hotel at 2:30 pm and repeatedly checking in with the front desk, our room was not ready until after 7 pm! When we finally did get our room, there were no towels and we had to ask the front desk and wait half an...

This hotel is very drab. My room was off-white and brown, and there was just one small framed picture on the walls. The bathroom in my room was in very poor condition: slow-draining sink and tub, chipped porcelain in the sink and a shower surround that was patched and discolored. Until they invest in a significant renovation, I won't stay...

I stayed two nights for business at the capital and was surprised at how nice the Governor is. I'd read the reviews and was expecting a run down place, but the remodel hits all the right notes. I also really enjoyed the complimentary hot breakfast available every morning. The only thing that I didn't really enjoy was the super slow...

Been staying at the Governor for over 16 years except for when it was closed for a year after the earthquake. Older Hotel that has been updated in the rooms. Elevator service is not the best, slow and slower. Breakfast was fairly typical for hotels of this quality. Parking is good with lower level protected from weather. It's a good...

I was disappointed with many facets of their operation: no ice machine on each floor, unable to increase room temperature from a cool 68 degree setting, slowest elevator in town, no fan in the bathroom so mirror was all fogged over after my shower, broken light cover above bathroom sink with 2 inch hole, dark brown ring around the tub,...

Overall the service, cleanliness, and accommodations were good. The building needs some attention relative to room heating/cooling control and the elevator reliability. Parking is good. We enjoyed their continental breakfast.

The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were not that quiet. The intake for the HVAC system sits in an alley way and transients smoke weed out there. The building then smells strong of pot on many floors

The Governor is downtown Olympia which I originally thought would be great but it isn't the best location for feeling safe. Beyond that the Hotel is dated and in need of being updated. It was clean and the staff was welcoming and nice. I was originally staying for a week but only ended up with one night and found great...

Save yourself the trouble and find a Motel 6. It'll probably be better. Everything was old and cracked. The room was cold. The breakfast was terrible. Overall a horrible experience. I was looking for a different hotel to book less than an hour after checking in.
