This comfortable lodge has all any hiker would desire. It's quiet and attracts travelers that retire early and rise early. Breakfast starts at 7:00am...perfect for those who want to hit the trails early. The rooms have microwaves & small refrigerators. We found the lodge to be very clean and well-maintained . Every evening we sipped our complimentary wine outdoors and...

Recommended by the folk at Nisqually Lodge, Ashford WA and part of the same ownership group. Well located on Route 12 not far from Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens. Clean, quiet and comfortable though rooms at the back got less of the occasional traffic noise. My room at the back looked out over a quiet road where an elk...

Once we found it, the Crest Trail Lodge was a great place to stay. Clean, well maintained rooms, comfortable beds, and very good climate control. It offered a full self serve breakfast, including waffles (my favorite). The highlight was the staff ( a couple, I believe) who were a fount of excellent information about Mt. Rainier. One note: If you...

Forrest and Donna are doing a fine job in the upkeep of this property. It's obvious everywhere you look. The outside is spic and span, especially during the time we visited when a road crew were kicking up a lot of dust. Evening wine was served in stemmed glassware...thank goodness, no plastic. Breakfast had just about all you need to...

The complimentary wine was a nice surprise. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Hot breakfast was decent. Nice grounds around the motel No cell phone reception for AT&T. Proprietor was kind enough to lend me his so I could make a quick call. Rooms and ceiling not all that well sound proofed. A little noisy.

Neat & tidy abdominal well run. Everything about our stay was great. The check in was easy, the room was very clean and we'll appointed. On check in we were each given coupons for two glasses of wine!! Perfect way to recover from the day of traveling. The included breakfast was simple but a good start to the day. Would...

I was traveling with friends and they decided to spend the night in Packwood at the last minute. The first hotel we stopped at was full and was glad to find this hotel still had rooms. We were greeted with a smile. When asked if they gave any discounts such as AAA, AARP, or Senior Discounts, the clerk responded with...

Wonderful staff...friendly, efficient, helpful, hospitable. Clean nice sized rooms. Free breakfast, great coffee in rooms w/microwave and larger fridge. We were amazingly surprised with this gem. No it is not the Ritz Carlton, but Packwood is not NYC. Perfect jumping off site for Mt. Ranier National Park and surrounds. Highly recommend.

Our room was very spacious and comfortable, it had two beds, a TV, and a large refrigerator with a good freezer section. There was a coffee machine. Breakfast was included and had 2 cereals (life and a cheerios mix) with 2% milk, juice, waffle maker, scrambled eggs, bagels and creme cheese, biscuits and gravy, and sausage. The managers were very...

The Crestrail Lodge was our choice to see Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helen. We have stayed there before and found the place charming. Elk roam free in this area and come to the hotel near dusk each evening so you are able to take pictures from a safe distance. The room had a double queen, a table and two...
