My friend and I wanted a getaway from household responsibilities, husbands, animals, etc. and Fort Worden was perfect. We had been there about 6 yrs. ago for a workshop so anticipated staying in one of the non-com houses. When we arrived at the Commons, we were greeted by some nice folks who upgraded us to one of the houses called...

We stayed in the Corporal's Home which was very inexpensive compared to a regular hotel/motel. We had lots of room! Two bedrooms and a bath upstairs, a living room, full kitchen and a 1/2 bath downstairs. The stairs are very steep, take your time going up and down. There's no television but there is Wifi. The first night the Wifi...

This is a classic coast artillery fort. The buildings are fully restored including the old blimp hanger. There is a museum that tells the history of the fort. The movie "An Officer and A Gentleman" was filmed here and the museum will give you a handout that shows you where key scenes were filmed. Some of the old officer's quarters...

I understand and appreciate the historic value, however it's still kinda dumpy. The stairs to the bedroom are crazy steep!! There was only a tub in the upstairs room area and a shower off the kitchen on the first floor. The grounds of the park are FANTASTIC! The staff was very kind and accommodating but the room itself left something...

Great location; lots of trails and places to explore. The history of the fort was fascinating. Great to have a pet friendly place to stay. Appreciated having a whole duplex to ourselves with a porch. Nice to have a restaurant option so close on grounds. Beds were quite firm. Will love to get back in the summer!

With our friends we come back year after year to stay at Fort Worden and always had an amazing experience. We've stayed in a "battery" (get it?) of the super unique, unforgettable places Fort Worden has to offer - the Steward's Cottage, the Colonel's House, the Bricks, etc. Every one's been great. We absolutely love the opportunity to literally stay...

My boyfriend and I stayed one night at Fort Worden after exploring the Olympic Peninsula, before heading to Seattle. It was more space than we needed, but location and price were perfect. We think it would be a great place to stay with a family or larger group. The staff was helpful, our cottage was clean, beds were comfy, and...

We were only here for one night and stayed in a two story duplex on officers row. It was just a couple homes from the ocean and looked out on the large parade yard. We saw a few deer out there at night. The house is very old and hasn't been updated so it had that old house smell. But...

I had to survive a week stay in 2015 and another in 2016. Must return for same conference in 2017. Rooms are cold and very rustic...but food was the worst. By the second day most of us were eating out of the snack bar and going to Safeway. Fear for our health....weird combinations and God help you if your vegetarian!...

Spent a few nights here on one of the beast weather weekends of the summer. Rented and stayed in one of the houses. We stay in the Corporal's. It was a duplex. Pet friendly. It was so spacious. Full kitchen including microwave. Remodeled more- modern bathroom. Amazing grounds that are very well taken care of. Beautiful sandy beaches. Beautiful sunsets....
