There's something about motels. It's not a resort; you don't go to a motel with that expectation - if you do, then you shouldn't go to a motel. No, you go to a motel because you want something simple, basic, but quality. And that's what we found at Totem Trail. I've stayed in a lot of motels in my life;... More

As we went there last year as a family the national park was experiencing wildfires and we thought the park may not have been worth the stay. But when we checked in the lady that settled us in was extremely kind and gave us a list of things we could still enjoy! Plus our hotel quite cozy and rustic. There... More

Totem Trail Motel may look like an older motel and it may be, but wow what an amazing stay! The owner is so kind, friendly and helpful with travel tips and the rooms are spotless. It is very quiet, in a lovely wooded area and was perfect for our roadtrip through the Cascades. No A/C but it is not needed... More

This is the perfect spot to spend a quiet, comfortable evening after a day in the mountains! It's clean and safe. It's no frills and very reasonably priced. If you're looking for a peaceful setting, pleasant neighbors, and hosts that respect your privacy...this is the place! Enjoy!!

Enjoyed my stay in this modest, single level motel with a Rockport address but located 3 miles west of Marblemount, a small mountain town with eateries and other services. Rockport has no services, only a State Park on the Skagit River. Driving out to this lodging after dark with thick forest on either side of the road, I noticed a... More

Just a great down home place to stay. Comfy beds and owners that will make sure you have a great stay and enjoy the area. This is one of the most beautiful areas in the US right at the foot of the Northern Cascades.

Stayed here while visiting North Cascades National Park. Very small room, cluttered with multiple random tables and chairs, hardly had room for our suitcases. The shower was tiny, hard to move around in. Traffic along the road moves very fast, so be careful. Motel was clean.

Pluses are scenic setting, good beds, alarm clock, shampoo, moisturizing lotion, community refrigerator, large room, mom and pop ownership, nice porch, wood paneling on walls if you like that, and beams across the ceiling. The negatives are not enough lighting, no air conditioning, Direct TV dish aimed 10 degrees above horizon into a grove of trees which caused poor reception/pixel... More

I stayed here on a recent climbing adventure to Sahale Mountain. My room was clean and comfortable and the owners were extremely nice. I am planning to climb Sahale again next year and will stay there again.
