Quirky and comforting, it felt just right. This place is best enjoyed if you can be flexible and open minded to the experience. Appreciate the little things like the honor system store and the VHS collection, this is not your typical campground, there may be some kinks to work out but they will work out. The staff is super friendly,...

My family and I stayed over the 4th of July weekend. It was the best campground that we have ever stayed at on the coast. Well maintained, friendly staff , & laid back atmosphere. Our campsite was large and close to the restrooms. The bathrooms/showers are clean and the showers are free. NO quarters needed! The campground is in walking...

We looked for a tent camping site, this one said they had it. They really dont. We were told that campfires are allowed in approved rings...that you must bring yourself. Tables are not provided either

My 15-year-old daughter and I stayed here for one night, on the recommendation of a friend. Unfortunately we had to arrive late and leave early. I would have preferred to stay here for several days or a week. This is a rambling old house, I'd put it sometime in the first quarter of the last century, now re-purposed as an...

Staff is super! Choose a room at the lodge, a cabin, a vintage trailer, or bring your own RV to their campsite. There's an outdoor kitchen, a squeaky-clean building with toilets/showers, and a sauna. I stayed in an unrestored vintage trailer with a bedroom, kitchen, full bathroom, and bedroom. Yes, it was musty. Windows (for ventilation) were inoperable; one fell...

This place has the potential to be great, but it seems a little run down. We stayed in a trailer, which seemed cool in theory, but the reality didn't live up to my romanticized fantasy. It was musty; the bed was creaky and uncomfortable, and our doors didn't lock from the outside. They did happily move us to another trailer...

We had a great time at the Sou'wester Lodge! We stayed in the lodge, right above the main room. The people are friendly and we were comfortable hanging out in our room or in the main room downstairs. We were there Easter weekend and appreciated the kids' art projects as well as the Easter egg hunt. Everybody was very friendly....

I'm staying at the Sou'wester RV park for the month of April. The Sou'wester is great. The RV spaces OK. Used to be a cow pasture. Seaview and the Long Beach peninsula offer you about anything you want to do. Biking, state parks, good restaurants, long beach you can drive and clam on. A good place to stay for a...

We stayed in the campground (in our own camper) for a night while visiting Astoria, OR and surrounding areas. The check in process was very thorough, and I appreciated the good customer service. The night we were there they had live music in the lodge. The campground set up was pretty good, but we changed spots due to the sprawling...

Friendly and customer-oriented assistance plus tour of accessible facilities despite a busy weekend w/large wedding on site preparations underway. We were in an RV w/tow but found an acceptable space. But, after 3 Class As arrived and tied into our electrical breaker lines, we lost electrical power on 2 nights of 5 stayed as their heat pumps and electronics operating...
