My friend and I stayed here when we went on a long drive up the coast to the Northern Tip. It was pouring rain but the view was very nice and the room had so much love put into it. It felt very personal and cottage-like. Little personal touches all over, very clean. The staff was really nice and friendly....

We really enjoyed our stay at the Straitside Resort. Sekiu is a tiny town that is almost entirely set up for fishing, but it's also beautiful so it was nice for us non-fisherfolk as well. We were well-located to go out to Neah Bay and Cape Flattery as well as the Hoh Rainforest. If you're looking for somewhere fancy, you...

I read the review before I booked our stay. We planned on hiking Lake Ozette and Seiku is very convenient. Seiku is a very small town catering to fishing enthusiasts. We knew the area so were not surprised by anything. The Straitside is an older resort BUT, it was one of the cleanest places I've stayed (I've been cross country...

I go to the Olympic Penninsula every year and stay with Linda at the Straitside. She is a super lady! I have stayed in three different "cabins" and liked them all. I really like the set up of the property and the fact that you are able to enjoy a fire in the pit in the yard. I like the...

We two recently spent two nights in Sekiu at the Straitside Inn and had a wonderful time and want to return. Linda was delightful from the minute we checked in and throughout our stay. She is tireless and clearly motivated to ensure guests enjoy their stay. Her wonderful chocolate lab, Birdette mirrors her enthusiasm. We stayed in the front suite...

I too had never traveled to Sekiu or Neah Bay so did not know what to expect. We had to go on a fishing trip out of Neah Bay and I called every place and they were booked. Thankfully Linda at Straightside had a cancellation (for a Sunday nite) and I took it. At that time I only saw one...

Linda..First let me say that I admire you for eeking out a living, and subjecting yourself to the cruelties of people that have high expectations, too high.I didnt go to Sekiu to go fishing,I went to Sekiu to spend time with my wife. What I wanted was a clean, comfortable room at an affordable price, and more importantly, good friendly people.....I found it.If I were you...

We stayed for 2 nights here in September while on a long driving vacation. I recognized prior to making reservations that I should have low expectations. Sekiu is a fishing town and the folks visiting there are also all about the fish. I read the reviews, gulped a deep breath and chose Straitside. I may not have been wrong, but...

We enjoyed a lovely stay here for 5 nights in early August of 2011 in the "Neptune's Cabin" room. The room offered a peaceful night's rest and was a little more spacious than a typical hotel room. The full kitchen facilities in the room were very helpful for preparing meals. Sekiu is a small, quiet town that seems to attract...

I'm guessing we might have been the first guests of the year at the Straitside in late March and decided to book one of the cabins for a night while making our way around the Olympic peninsula. Although it was somewhat of a shot in the dark, we were pleasantly surprised to find the place charming and comfortable, as there...

“We were in #4 and #5 toward the back. Wifi was not great back there unless you were by the door, so if that's important to you, maybe try one of the rooms closer to the front. Our rooms were nice and quiet, though. There is no AT&T cell service anywhere in this part of the peninsula, so that's why wifi mattered to us at all.”
