Awesome place! Right where the salt and freshwater water combined. Plenty of peaceful area around with more birds to see than you can imagine. Quiet but not to far from Portland and an hour from Longbeach.

Always something going on, but what's going on involves gulls, eagles, ducks, harbor seals. That's the kind of noise that's easy to put up with. Much fun to log on to the website which provides real-time ship traffic info on the Lower Columbia. Many hours spent at the window, looking downriver to see which vessel was on its way toward...

The setting is beautiful! The weather was perfect and we spent a lot of time sitting on the deck watching kayaks, wildlife, and the occasional freighter float by. The room was large, cozy with a fantastic view. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. Nobody else was staying there so we had the place to ourselves. There is a...

If you are looking for a true get away place with all the amenities including a gorgeous view of the Columbia River, wildlife in abundance and a place to escape then look no further. The suites are beyond well appointed. Each is named after a paddle wheel steamer that used to come from Portland to dock here with passengers and...

We had the corner rooms facing the river for three beautiful summer days. One was spent kayaking in nearby sloughs and some on the Columbia. A beautiful area if the weather cooperates. Rooms are well furnished, large and well kept. We brought in food for breakfasts and found acceptable but not great dining elsewhere. We plan to return.

The Inn at Skamokawa Landing was the highlight of our trip in the PNW. The place was perfect for the 3 of us with very spacious rooms. It was very clean and well prepared for our visit. We had the corner unit on the West side of the building so our view was amazing facing down the Columbia River. I...

We rented a suite at the Inn at Skamokawa Landing and are already talking about when we can come back. The unit was very, very clean and beautifully decorated. The view onto the water is lovely and the comfortable beds, good quality linens and towels, and full kitchen made for a really comfortable stay. Columbia River Kayaking is right downstairs...

Four of us shared a unit. We loved the space and view. Our only challenge was finding it. We arrived after dark and had a very difficult time figuring out where to turn. Either better signage on the highway or better directions upon booking would be helpful.

I've visited the Inn at Skamokowa with friends on three occasions. It is a fabulous retreat! The rooms are cozy and accommodating and beautifully appointed. Beyond that, the views are spectacular. A steady flow of enormous cargo ships slips past the inn on their way up and down the Columbia -- large and colorful against the misty river and gorgeous...

I stayed with a group of friends at this lovely, historic inn and was blown away by the view, the comfort, the ambiance. The kitchen was well equipped and we had no trouble preparing dinners for a huge group served as the sun set over the water. It was serene, cozy, warm, and comfortable.
