Took the miss'us to Alderbrook Lodge for her B'Day. The Lodge was renovated in 2001 and we hadn't been back since that time. The Lodge is really a 5-star resort. We had a room and deck overlooking Hood Canal. The sun was out along with the Olympic Mountains. We had a great time and the staff were just great making...

The drive to this place is quite scenic at times and the resort is the perfect place for a city getaway. I loved this place and the water body next to it. You can spend a decent amount of time walking around the resort! They have a great restaurant if you are interested in fine dining. The rooms are spacious...

I stayed at the Alderbrook Resort for a few nights as part of our corporate off-site. The rooms were comfortable, the service was very good. Our lunch and dinner was catered by the resort itself and the food quality, presentation and taste was very good. They don't keep any complementary water in the room but the mini-bar prices were unbelievably...

Visit Alderbrook for an event each May and it rarely disappoints...staff always pleasant, rooms are well appointed, and the setting is beautiful...banquet food is well above normal (and I eat a lot of it on multiple trips each year). Great place for a weekend get-a-way or a small business conference.

Great place on Hood Canal. There is a movie once a month on Thursdays in Union - great little place to go see a movie - no choose on the movie - can bring in anything and get to meet the local. The food at the resort is just ok - abit expensive for what they serve. That is the...

food was horrible and overpriced, nothing special about the drinks at the bar besides the beer...cottage was dirty and had a geriatric smell..the only thing that was great about the resort was the geo-caching! Would not stay here again

When I arrived I was assigned a room that was part of our group block - it was on the ground level and led out to the grass terrace. The room was very musty and smelled funny so I called to request a new room (I came to find out that pets are allowed in these rooms which is what...

This is a great place to go to relax and get away from it all. The rooms are comfortable with good views. Easy to get to and great people work there. Worth the $$ spent. The food was excellent and the view from the lounge/restaurant was breath taking.

Our room was 423 overlooking the water. it was well worth it. I spent the morning 530 drinking coffee watching the sun rise and birds. The river was gave a soothing sound that to me was relaxing. Any room on the 3 or 4th floors looking out to the water would be great. We were greated at by a door...

Alderbrook Resort was saved from closing years ago through a wonderful remodel and upgrade, making it one of the Pacific Northwest's go-to getaway destinations. Water activities, hiking the trails to the top of the hill, nearby golf, and a nice spa make this a nice couples retreat from the buzz of the City.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Walking hand in hand, you see an eagle soar overhead. You stop to skip stones across the water. Four, five, six skips. A perfect moment suspended in time. A story for dinner. This is the place where memories are made, where families come back year after year. Like having your own waterfront cottage, only better. Cartwheels on the grass. A game of badminton at sunset. Leather couches and a glass of Washington state Syrah. The sweet succulent bite of fresh oysters. Rooms that make you say “wow” when you open the door. Can this hotel be only two hours from Seattle? It can. Welcome to Alderbrook Resort & Spa. ... more   less
