We liked to go to the ocean in mid winter and watch the winter storms. Usually, we go to Ocean Shores or Long Beach. But this time we decided on Westport. We stayed 3 nights in cabin 8, the one nearest the office/hotel. We were somewhat wary, having read some negative reviews. But what a pleasant surprise. The cabin was... More

Who did they pay to get this rating???? They switched rooms on us the night before so another family could have 3 cabins together. Supposedly to an upgrade that had a fireplace. (It did not work) Cabin 12 is near the public restroom 15-20 feet away. You could tell by the clean smell that they scrubbed the floor in the... More

The website said they were "recently refurbished" - they must mean in 1938 and it appeared they haven't been cleaned since then either. My sister slept in her clothes!

BEST: Scenery!! Area!! Beautiful beaches and sounds of the surf (which does not need service by Harbor Resort, thankyouverymuch) WORST: Everything else! WOULD I RECOMMEND? Absolutely not! Stay anywhere else...a tent, under a bridge, in your car... Years ago, my husband and I had stayed at Harbor Resort, with our lab, Cleo, and we had a great time. We crabbed... More

We stayed a week in October. After reading the reviews, we were not expecting the Ritz. We had cabin #8, right next to the office, as we wanted a fireplace. A couple other cabins had a little more privacy from the office, but it did not really matter, the view out the large end windows was great. Harbor porpoise, pelicans,... More

Combining a mini vacation with a wedding in Seattle, we stayed at The Harbor Resort for 3 nights and were so pleased with our decision. Our cabin was right on the harbor and we watched all the fishing boats going in and out of the harbor all hours of the day and night. Instead of sleeping in the bedroom we... More

“For an overnight, just do the hotel. No refridge, but a coffee pot. For a nicer, relaxing stay, take the cabin. It has a full kitchen, silverware, full stove, etc. Smallest sleeps 3 or 4, larger ones have small closet sized room with bunks...sort of cute, and a fold out sofa and a queen bed.”
