We enjoyed our two-night stay at Mt. Gardner Inn. Excellent deal for the money - clean room, comfortable beds and quiet setting. Hosts were very friendly and provided helpful suggestions on places to eat. We appreciated that the room set up has families with children...More
Mt Gardner was clean and tidy, had good beds and was tranquille and quiet. A very reasonable price was an added bonus. Winthrop was a cool lil town with lots to see. Many nice lil shops and lots of places to eat and drink.
This acommodation is situated just out of town with an easy and pleasant stroll to the township. Our room had nice view of the garden and late in the afternoons a buck and doe would appear very close in the field next door.More

The big question for the Methow Valley in May is whether or not the North Cascades Highway is open. You can get there when it's not open, but you have more options when it is open. There is a wsdot webpage that lists historic opening dates. I normally go in winter, but I have been there over Memorial Day weekends a couple times. The weather is typically warm and dry then.
