Gracious in all respects, we loved our stay at the Carriage Inn. Marie and Donn make every effort to make guests feel comfortable in their beautifully decorated historic home. We loved the delicious breakfasts, snacks, and even the welcoming sound of ambient music in the public rooms. We stayed in the Copper Beech Suite and it definitely lived up to...

My wife and I enjoyed our stay in this historic b+b. We loved the Civil War stories associated with the b+b; we stayed in the same room as Phillip Sheridan! Our room was engaging, tasty pecan pie bars were available for an afternoon snack; water, coffee, tea and sodas were available around the clock in a convenient second floor refrigerator...

One of the great things about this house is BOTH the Yankees and the Rebels were here! Sheridan and Grant! Lee, Stuart, Jackson and Ashby! But if you aren't into history, there is rock climbing, hiking, biking, Sports Car Club of America-type racing, zip-lining, canoeing, kayaking, and tubing within a short drive. OR, if you just need to relax, Virigina...

My husband and I came for two nights for a race we had in Leesburg. What a great find and better option than your traditional hotel. Service was great. We felt at home. Clean. Highly recommend! Home cooked breakfast included. Cookies made in evening for the guests! HISTORIC. Owners gave us a history lesson when we arrived! Fun!

We arrived early afternoon in CharlesTown. The inn offered comfortable accommodations. Innkeepers were so nice and quite knowledgeable about the inn, town, and surrounding historic sites. They gave us ideas and advice about what to visit and where to eat. The breakfast that they served the next morning was wonderful! Will definitely return for a longer stay! Thanks Donn and...

We chose to stay at The Carriage Inn Bed & Breakfast while hiking at Harper's Ferry National Park. It was an amazing building with so much history! Donn and Marie were wonderful hosts who even made sure they had yummy gluten free afternoon snacks for me! Donn's breakfasts were wonderfully delicious (and gluten free for me) as well. We stayed...

We have loved the challenge of meeting dietary restrictions because it IS difficult to travel and enjoy yourself when you have to be concerned that one food item can destroy your getaway! Thank you for allowing us to serve you in that way! We are so glad you had an enjoyable getaway! May all the BEST be your!

This was My 1st B&B experience and they have set the mark. We were greeted with Fresh Brownies and Tea. Donn and Marie were very gracious, and the perfect Hosts'. Our bedroom had a Kingsize bed, large Jacuzzi tub, and was very romantic. The history of this house is incredible, multiple Generals from both sides of the Civil war occupied...

Myself and eight family members stayed at the Carriage House while attending a wedding in the area. The house is roomy, immaculate, and bursting with historic charm. The attention to detail in the interior and exterior of the house is impressive and the rooms are charming with excellent beds. The warm and friendly innkeepers, Don and Marie, served us two...

We stayed at the Carriage Inn ( two couples ) on our way to the Shenandoah Valley and we were met by Marie, the very friendly and knowledgeable co-owner. After a quick potted history of the inn, we were shown to our beautiful rooms. The rooms were spotlessly clean and we liked the quirky en-suite which is a few steps...

True hospitality from the moment we pulled up in the driveway to the moment we walked out the door. Marie and Donn are wonderful hosts...as well as great cooks, and excellent stewards of the historic Carriage Inn. I was looking for a place close to Harper's Ferry and yet close to the Shenandoah National Park. This place fit the bill and more. It was stunning and I loved environment. The history of the Carriage Inn was something to learn as well. If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and stay here.
