We had a wonderful time in the area and used Black Bear Resort as our base camp for our stay in WV. The grounds are lovely and the condo/apartment was very nice, with amazing views. The pool is insane as well. Love it! Also, Pam and Jenni are a joy and we loved spending time talking to them. The only... More

We have been visiting Black Bear Resort for many years and have always been pleased with the accommodations. Sometime we would bring other members of the family and needed to use one of the larger pedestals. Other times when it was just two of us we have stayed in The Inn. Always very satisfied - easy to make reservations, fast... More

My family of 7, including 8 month old twins, were looking forward to a relaxing vacation in Canaan Valley. We arrived at our house (87 Treetop Lane) to find the air conditioning was broken (we had chosen the house for the A/C). The living room ceiling fan did not work either. When we went to eat our dinner out on... More

This resort is situated in a beautiful area and has mountains and forests as a backdrop. We stayed in suite 132 which was a room within a bigger lodge called The Inn. The room was big with 2 double beds, a dining table, microwave, big bathroom with a fridge in and jacuzzi bath and a sunny balcony overlooking the views.... More

We've visited the Inn at Black Bear Resort for the last few summers and rent a large, well-furnished room with jacuzzi and balcony. We rent room 132 through the actual owner, which is less expensive than renting through the resort. The views are wonderful from our room and the location is quiet and very restful. Our dog is welcome too... More

Nice place. If we come back to David, we'll probably stay again. Pros: - Very cute room. Nicely decorated. Better than the website pictures. - Spacious. - Huge jacuzzi. - Big bathroom. - Big TV with blueray movies. - Real fireplace though you can only use starter logs, not wood. Cons: - Room wasn't very warm when we visited in... More

Below average accomadations....much better places in Davis, West Virginia area to stay during winter/summer months...property is poorly managed with dishonest, disinterested people who are slow to respond and generally behave inappropriately. Was the worst experience I've ever had. No staff support after 1700 daily and generally staff leaves earlier...

We were only staying one night so we stayed in a room in the Lodge. It was a typical hotel room, but with a couch and a small balcony. The views over the mountains were very nice. There is a small refrigerator and a microwave, but no real cooking facilities. It was clean and comfortable and incredibly quiet. We would... More

We stayed in Cabin #15 and it was the perfect size for 2 of us and our dog. The pedestal units are 'fun' and laid out so that none of them look into another one and there is privacy...
