According to the Graceland website: “All rooms in Graceland Inn are furnished with antiques or Victorian reproductions” Well it is misleading, DO NOT get a room at their “Conference Center” , You find no Victorian furniture but ugly casual furniture, it looks like a dormitory, so alike a vulgar motel but for 3 times the price. It was too late...

Tucked away in the fold of beautiful blankets of Fall foliage, Graceland Inn could not have been a more gracious help to the crew of the Fly Rod Chronicles filming team during a recent show which will air nationally on the Outdoor Channel in the 2013 season. The accommodations were smooth, comforting, and warm as were the staff of the...

You have to go into the beautiful Graceland Inn to check into the Conference Center. After walking a few hunded yards we were at the Conference Center entrance. Once inside we were very confused as we walked down a corridor of academic offices. As we opened the door to the "hotel room" hallway we were greeted by the overwhelming odor...

My husband and I had dinner at the Graceland Inn, the food was very good. He had the "Oak Barrell Steak" and thought it had the best flavor and very tender. The shrimp I ate were very good, nice serving, more than I could eat. The salad dressing was outstanding. Our server was new, but did a good job. Still...

The steak was tough and boring. The waitress never brought the bread basket that accompanied my dinner. Nice mansion and all but i would expect more from their kitchen and wait staff. Not worth it in my opinion.

My husband and I recently had our wedding at Graceland Inn and Conference Center. You wouldn't believe how friendly the staff was, especially when we overfilled the venue (many unexpected guests arrived) for the ceremony/reception. We rented all 11 rooms which were tidied up very well by housekeeping throughout the weekend. The head Chef, Melanie was such a delight --...

I hate to do this review. I feel like Graceland is an aging southern belle who is in grave need of a makeover. This is such an impressive building, until you start looking beyond the fantastic archeticture, superb furnishings and seeing the dirt and decay. I complained to the desk clerk that our room was dirty. It had not been...

I recently held a reception at Graceland Inn and it was better than expected. The food and presentation were excellent, the service was impeccable, and the view was amazing. Chef Mel and her staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was served promptly. Several of the guests commented on how nice everything turned out. If I have another...

Most of the reviews are spot on. I never like saying anything negative about a person who does not ask for it, but the staff at this place could really use some better training. I don't blame the staff, but blame whoever manages them. They really do not have a clue as to how to run a B&B, if you...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The new management of Graceland invites you to come and see how we've changed, and want you to know that we look forward to accommodating all of our guests and their unique lodging and dining needs. Graceland Inn, the former summer residence of West Virginia's first Democratic US Senator, Henry Gassaway Davis, is on the National Historic Landmarks Register. In 1996 the restoration of Graceland Inn was complete and opened to the public as an Historic Country Inn with a full-service restaurant. The main purpose for restoring the mansion and developing an Inn, Restaurant, and Conference Center was to create a dynamic learning lab for Davis & Elkins Hospitality and Tourism students. All rooms in Graceland Inn are furnished with antiques or Victorian reproductions. Each room has a private bath, individual climate controls, a television, and complimentary wireless internet access. Large rooms have marble lined bathrooms, and one room is equipped for handicap access. An elevator is available. The facility is completely smoke free. We also offer complimentary continental breakfast for all guests. Graceland also features a Conference Center with more traditional style hotel rooms with modern amenities and conferencing facilities. We also offer meeting and banquet space at our sister mansion, Halliehurst. The restaurant is located on the first floor of Graceland. We have four elegant dining areas, and each room's decor has its own character. In the summer months you can dine on our Veranda that overlooks the beautiful town of Elkins. The Graceland Restaurant is open to the public for lunch Wednesday-Friday from 11:00am to 2:00pm (Tuesday lunches in the summer), dinner Tuesday-Saturday from 5:30pm to 9:00pm and for Sunday Brunch 11:00am to 2:00pm. We look forward to serving you. ... more   less
